Warriors really going 37-45. :smh: Model is garbage. Wouldn't be surprised if Spurs had a better record than Lakeshow.
I think it’s time the Lakers have a players only meeting…
I thought they just DID!

I don’t think it’s right they’re trying to make Frank the fall guy, just my 2 pennies

Man Bron isn't new to the league or an emerging star. He's been a player in the league for 19 seasons. By now players and coaches have to know you live by Bron and die by Bron. Yes, he can help you win championships but it's done his way. Then as soon as you longer serve him or he's squeezed all of the utility he can out of you then you get kicked to the curb and/or labeled the fall guy all while folks say "Look at Bron's numbers! What more could you ask of him?!"

Being made the fall guy for why a LeBron-led team didn't succeed or meet expectations is the likeliest scenario who you link with him so none of us should be surprised anymore. It's been that way for at least half of his career

ill steelo ill steelo

Can we get a quick breakdown on what Bron & Russ are doing (not doing) on defense?
Long overdue, my b.

The roster is filled with too many guys who just straight up do not care to give effort defensively. Will have the same problems when AD gets back.

Here you see Reeves & Monk don’t communicate so they match up with the same guy in transition  Basic middle school basketball stuff.
Melo, who struggles in every defensive situation, has to rotate over & gets easily blown by. The pacers don’t have numbers but get a layup in transition anyway.

Here THT doesn’t get in a stance or even move at all

Here’s your nightly Melo PnR torture  At this point he can barely move or jump. He’s going to be consistently targeted & victimized. Playoff time he’s gonna be a nightmare.

First clip they give him help, corner 3  2nd clip, no help, he drops all the way into the restricted area and gives up a layup  Victim

Melo out & stan now at the 5 which had success in the last game, albeit against a team on a b2b. Time for a run right? Nope, Russ is on the court.

His trademark matador defense on display in the first clip.

Next, In transition, Stan appropriately picks up the ball. Russ at the top of the key, Lamb from the baseline beats him down the floor by a mile because Russ is in a leisurely jog  He plays so hard tho right?

Finally you see PnR with Bron in a soft show so the “low man” is supposed to tag the roll. The low man is Russ who doesn’t make the full rotation so Sabonis gets right in front of the rim

So you see low effort all in 3 phases - transition, man to man, & help. Its been like this every night for years with him.

Russ benched shortly after that but now Melo is back in

So of course you’re thinking, well AD gets back, problems solved. Not quite. Too many liabilities still on the floor. Monk, Melo, Bron, Russ, THT more than half the rotation either don’t care or don’t give consistent effort on that end.

Too many holes for AD to cover up, you saw a bit of the weakest link getting picked on against the Warriors:
So when it matters you’ll obviously see less of DJ/Dwight at the 5 and more of AD. Russ’ play will generate a lot of talk (rightfully so
)but they have another equal problem out there.

So Vogel brings in Bugatti Baze & the open looks continue. You see AB’s reluctance to switch with him on the first and last clips lead to breakdowns

Ariza could help here but he looked cooked in Miami last year.

Meant to mention this last night, but the Nuggets are wasting a roster spot on Austin Rivers. He’s done. I’m sure a G-league call up guy could give them more.
