Yeah - but the Mavs got no reason to move him for anything that doesn't replace what he gives them this year, too.
Kemba Walker most likely the backup point guard for y’all. They’d send Obi Toppin most likely in the package. I’m actually ok with sending Immanuel Quickley TOO if the has was forced cuz he’s eating up crucial minutes.

Y’all get 2 backups.

That's not even gonna get the conversation off the ground.

If the Mavs are gonna eat Kemba's deal, at this point they might as well just pay Jalen in the offseason. Toppin and Quickley don't even move the needle for eating Kemba's money.

Consensus on Jalen Brunson?

Son gonna be a Knickerbocker before the deadline.

Where the hell is this trade proposal coming from? Why would Dallas trade Brunson for Kemba Walker and Obi Toppin

Send him to Nutsacktown for Fox and be over it. He would seem to fit well there’s not having to be the point guard.

Also def not sending Obi and IQ. No need to move assets, even if they're mediocre, for an unrestricted FA.

Just feels like the Mavs/Knicks trade matchup isn't any good - no matter how much they covet Jalen.

Feels more likely the Mavs would just ride this out than take on any spare pieces with extended money that also don't make them better this season.

Yep exactly. Unless you're getting a player of equal value thats locked in contract-wise, from a team that's tryna move assets (ex: Pacers), no need to trade Brunson now.

His pops goes to every Knicks game. He is a valuable asset. Why let him leave for nothing? He goes FA it’s over. They not winning it all this year neither.

Mavs take all the Knicks leftovers anyway. Get ready dawgs. Kemba also got a buyout and is on a backup point guard’s salary. Ain’t that what they need lol

Schroder probably available for a team trying to make a push and has proven he's still valuable, even as a starter.

The Mavs were tied to and could've had Kemba at damn near any point of the last 3 years and never even aggressively sniffed his direction.

They're not trading 3 months of Brunson to run out Kemba's corpse for 2 years and another $10m

And I think Brunson's gonna be a Knick -- but it's either gonna be a bigger multi-team trade at the deadline or in the offseason... There's no real match between the two for an easy trade.

Unless Brunson is going to sign for below market, he's not gonna be a Knick anytime soon.
