Nah I’m being serious. No one can answer me on why Kyrie got paid when what he did is far worse than what Ben is doing.

None of Kyries teammates flipped on him either.

Who gets to decide what’s best for the team? Because any trade package out there instantly makes the team better than not playing him, and makes the team instantly better than the first round exit roster you have out there right now.

In the history of the NBA name me a player that requested a trade, doesn’t play, and doesn’t get paid.
The GM, Pres of Basketball Ops and in this case, the top 5 player/MVP candidate on the team lol while I agree some packages improves the team, if some shenanigans behind the scenes let me know that a certain someone from a certain team is coming, I’m gonna wait unless I’m blown away

To answer the second question, name a player who actually didn’t cooperate with the team and got the trade they wanted. Harden cooperated with the Rockets. Dame (while a dummy) has been cooperating. AD cooperated and played. You can probably say Kawhi but he did he actually told the team he wasn’t ready physically and had real reasons.

What Simmo isn’t doing is cooperating. Had he did that from the jump, this wouldn’t be an issue

Plenty of players **** the bed in the playoffs. Plenty of players do not improve year after year.

Not reasons for not trading a player. Other teams accommodate players to the point Of actually trading a player to his desired destination. That I wouldn’t do from a business standpoint. Go for the best package. Period.

But to hold off for a specific player is ridiculous (ex Harden in thsi case). I haven’t saw one rumored package that did not make the Sixers better. That’s malpractice.

Ben played himself and so did his advisors. He really thought he could walk in and say I’m not playing another game until I’m traded. That’s usually reserved for superstars. Plus, he literally killed his own value thus screwing over both sides.

So let’s say he comes back or gets traded this season. Does he get the money back he’s missing?

Maybe because, technically, the reason Kyrie was not playing for the Nets was a NYC ordinance combined with his personal choice not to get vaccinated. Then the Nets made the decision that they didn’t want to deal with him being a part time player, which they’ve now reversed course on.

So, in Kyrie’s case, there’s an external factor, beyond either his or the team’s control, impacting his playing availability. That’s not the case with Benji and and Sixers.

If there’s any player that’s full #MamboMentality it’s Benji for sure

What do the Sixers organization and their fans benefit from holding off? Another year of Embiid wasted. Who knows how his body will breakdown in the future. Another year of continuity and chemistry wasted. Name me a positive of holding off.

Ben didn't show up to training camp, be a willing participant in practice, and be willing to play in games. You know, his contractual obligations.

Ben Simmons is a member of a powerful union, those wages are protected by a CBA. He is not some victim here.

Kyrie Irving made himself available to play in some games. Yes, his vaccine stance is dumb as hell, but the law preventing him from playing was not a national law or league rule, only a few teams had to play under such laws. However, he was available to play in road games, but the team chose not to do that.

Also, Kyrie I don't think Kyrie got paid for home games he missed, only the road games the team chose not to play him in did he get paid because that was a team decision not to play him. Kyrie vax position is silly, but other than that, Kyrie has fulfilled his obligations way more than Ben. Sixers want Ben to play, Ben is the one choosing not to.

I mean I don't know who you think this is a good comparison with because right now Kyrie is playing and Ben is still sitting out by choice. So even if they were alike for a couple of months (which they were not) they definitely are not now.

He needs to lawyer up. The way Rich Paul and Morey are treating this, every single player in the league wouldve taken action.

The Sixers did nothing wrong. He decides not to show up to work what else can happen? Ben lost millions of dollars as of today, I'm pretty sure he looked the legal angle before deciding his path. If anything, Rich Paul has given him bad advice and he is failing Ben hard. He should definitely look for a new agent after this s**t is over with.

Just because a player requests a trade doesn't mean a team is obligated to accommodate that request; especially in when one goes about it in the manner Benjamin has.

I mean usually when they do there's a mutual working towards a situation that's advantageous for both parties. There was zero want on Ben's camp to do that until they found out he was going to lose money and even then, the whole getting kicked outta practice followed by the mental illness stuff (not saying it's not justified or real) like he's biting his own hand.

Also young players often get paid for potential not just for what they already accomplished

See: Jamal Murray, sga, porter, Ingram etc
Idk it seems like the team (Brand, smh really brotha) betted on Simmo actually improving on his AS status and getting that jumper to move on from Jimothy Buckets

18/19 Simmo with a consistent jumper is a top 10/15 player in the league, especially with his improvements on defense. The contract if he made those leaps on offense would’ve been well worth it

Ain’t no way in hell we giving him that contract based on what he did prior lol (we did for Brotha Al tho lol)

For an ENTIRE YEAR while publicly broadcasting to the world I'm not coming because I don't wanna be there/looking for another gig?

Nah, I haven't and neither have you or anyone else that wanted to keep their job and get paid.

Slacking b. Give it a try. Work for a company that allows it.

Nah but seriously, not for a year. That’s common sense. No one knew this would last as long as it is. Point is he coudlve saved millions in some way shape or form.

My! My! My! All these big opinions and hot takes about everyone else except for his underachieving team
