The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I'm pretty sure they are $79.99, which is still outrageous.

We did have it pretty good for a while, though. Paying the same as American gamers while our dollar was worth 20% less.

F Horizon.

I cannot play this game anymore, the script is absolutely garbage. I cant believe Guerrilla, they should be appalled at this.

Do you guys still buy physical disc copies? Thinking if I should just start buying digitally now.
Ive gotten lazy on a few occasions lately and started downloading games. I get off of work at 6 AM so the time between me getting off and the stores opening I just download. I need to stop though. I get bored of games quickly and always get the new sports games every year so even if it's only a few dollars, it's worth it to have the physical copy.

MLB the show last night is probably the first physical copy I've bought in almost a year, and I wanted the steel book which is the main reason I went out to grab it.

I gotta get on this amazon prime wave so I can preorder and it will be delivered on release day for under retail. Cant beat that.

Getting my first MLB:The Show tomorrow.... maybe

You won't be disappointed. One of the best sports franchises in gaming. I'd probably say THE best in my opinion. And baseball is probably my least favorite major sport

Anyone still playing Mass Effect? I haven't played since last week. I've had a couple days to play it again, but it just feels like too much of a chore for me

I just picked it up yesterday (was out of town Tuesday until Saturday) and have spent probably 10 hours playing so far. I can definitely see where it's going to start looking like a chore, but for now I'm still having a blast

Since I upgraded to a PS4 the majority of my games are digital.

It was the reverse on my PS3.

Buying new games over here in the Bahamas would run you at least $100. Because of this I would cop the majority of my games of Amazon; after paying customs fees on the games it would cost me ~$80 which still isn't bad compared to buying them locally.

Nowadays we have stores that sell games closer to the US price ($65), but I find buying them digitally to be more convenient to me, especially with the pre-loading feature.

I'll still buy physical copies for select games. Pre-ordered the physical Shadow of War Gold Edition.

Thanks for the insight. I guess I still enjoying seeing a stack of organized games that I have yet to play? Maybe I'll purchase only select games.

FYI, Valkyria Revolution will MSRP at $40. That's $32 for Amazon Prime Best Buy GCU users.

Still mad I haven't got me Playstation email with a code. Did we have to sign up for something?

You probably got it man. I didn't think I did cause it is kind of buried in the email. It is in the flash sale email they sent out on the 24th. You gotta scroll down to see it.

Any FF fans that have skipped XIV, here is a reason to give it a shot.

I had a blast playing solo through until around level 40, so it is absolutely possible.

Square Enix has announced that they’ve removed the 14-day time limit on the Final Fantasy XIV trial for PlayStation 4, and you can now play the MMORPG for free for as long as you want, up to level 35. You’re also able to create one playable character per world, try out the first 10 floors in the Deep Dungeon, join parties with other players, and more.

As Square Enix explains, everyone can access the new free trial:
These enhancements do not extend only to new free trial accounts – existing or expired free trial accounts will be reactivated, allowing players to continue their previous adventures. Free trial players can access all content up to level 35, create up to eight playable characters (one per World), join parties or linkshell groups with fellow players, and even battle their way to Floor 10 in the Deep Dungeon.
You can download the free trial from the PlayStation Store (North AmericaEurope).

Today also saw the release of Patch 3.56 for Final Fantasy XIV, which concludes the main narrative of Heavensward ahead of Stormblood’s  release  on June 20. The patch notes for 3.56 show that character data from the free trial can be transferred to the full version of the game at any time, but “this change only applies to accounts created after the release of patch 3.56.”

I was watching my boy stream Kingdom Hearts and it looks like it controls terribly. He is stuck in the Deep Jungle; having issues with the vine swinging part. I don't think I'll be getting this collection

eh controls have always been the same for all the games even into the collections. KH1 is a bit clunky and shows its age but its still worth playing as well as the series as a whole

F Horizon.

I cannot play this game anymore, the script is absolutely garbage. I cant believe Guerrilla, they should be appalled at this.

I think you're in the minority there, but I largely skipped the story bits and it's still one of the best games I've played.

Guerilla should by no means be appalled. They killed it.
