Best things about ISS are the fact ta sell ANYTHIN you need a piece of paper in the pics with your name on it.

And when people get banned they get BANNED and can't come back 10 minutes later with a hoarde of new screen names and a new grudge.

And for a site much smaller than NT they have way more mods/admins so rules are actually enforced evenly everywhere.

I was reading their new rules. Some sounded really shady:

jumpman, my understanding is this:

1) digitaljordan works for nike and was fired because he sold a pair of oregon lebron 2's on ebay (shoes which are given to the players only for the purpose of playing in). nike told him he was fired for using his employee discount for friends.

2) he posts on here... halfway through, methodman posts that nike is targeting the wrong people. they should target fakes and this is just a dumb move by nike.

3) cyjack (professor K) says method man has a "messiah complex" and that people should stop hating nike. he admits that he'll probably be banned for his comments.

4) cyjack is banned. he posts on ISS that he doesn't like NT and he thinks ISS is great.

now people are debating about ISS vs. NT. that's my understanding of all of this. scroll back about halfway to find methodman and cyjack's posts.

You seriously have NO idea what you are talking about.

I have met Prof K and have read Ko for around 2-3 years. He is one of the coolest guys in the shoe business. His site was a milestone in the sneaker world. Again, don't talk smack against something you have no clue about.


And to the original topic of this thread, DJ I know it must have been tempting to make a good amount of money on eBay for the Oregon shoes, but I wouldn't tooken the risk, especially being surrounded by Nike. That is very narcissist of Nike to do though.

For once I'll be sincere and show my "true" reality side in a post...

Many NT members--even those you may "look up to" for whatever reason--are not "all about the people" as they come off to be...

I've learned that the very hard way. Trust, even kats from my area I trusted, I've investigated to be shady and "more talk" behind completely different actions...

Certain people here, in respect, just curb it into frustration and sarcasm in continuous posts instead of killing the credibility of a person... or Even this site...

I, however, do not agree with the personal attacks, unless you are attacking a potential fraudulent buyer or seller...

Just "read in between the lines" of many of the post here in various threads...

It's like that spaghetti sauce no one buys ... It's in there...

I just hope certain bombs don't blow...

First off let me say I have always respected the NT community and was the first businesses to drop $100 into the kitty to help keep it ad free. There is no doubt that NT raised the bar in a BIG way from Nike Park and in creating an alternative to Nike Park, NT has fundamentally changed the shoe game.

As for ISS it is an alternative one that I created when I was banned from NT although the ban only lasted for 15 minutes it still pissed me off enough to create a forum with a different culture. Im originally from the Midwest and yeah people are not as hard and that is the type of culture I built into the website day one. It is a more laid back place.

I have mad respect for most of the mods / admins here and have met a number of them in real life which brings everything to the next level because one has a sense of who he / she is talking to and that they are real people not just some username.

And for this thread I dont think people know how serious leaking some shoes early can be. The high-end shoes which companies have invested their future into are not the shoes that should be pranced around here early people loose there jobs over things like this remember the XXs? At least two people lost their jobs and one person who lost their jobs threatened the family of the guy who took the pictures. The dude was honestly scared for his and his familys life. I know the Oregon LBJ IIs arent an unreleased trade secret by any means but it is still a pair of shoes that is supposed to the property of the student that it was givinen to if it was given to me it would be in my hidden collection the collection nobody sees. Digital Jordan seems like a cool guy and he just made a mistake albeit one that has had repercussions.

Lastly the fight between NT / ISS / Meth / PK it is all getting out of hand we are all into this game for the same reason to further our knowledge of kicks and to cop something individual defining. If people can just step back and look at how far we as a community have come in a few short years - -take a look at just the past two years more boutique shops with more variety, the growth of this board and ISS even without people dropping info like Ekin used to , the creation of SC mag, and the 10,000s of people looking into our little world because of articles in newspapers / magazines / and TV shows National and International and the heart of this group can be traced to a few online communities here in the US, UK, and Asia. Four years ago if anyone mentioned sneakers in a newspaper or on TV it was pure dope now we have something popping up on a weekly basis.

Sometimes I think NT is getting out of hand with some of the comments and 'BAD' info that's put on here, but I've realized it's inevitable. We're going to see it and it's going to happen. I think some of us in the masses forget why we come to NT [not to bash one another, not to show up who has a better collection or who know more] BUT to share the mutual love for shoes and the culture. And I agree with Steve, if you have a shoe that is really exclusive I woudn't share it with the masses and it would be hidden deep within my collection. Bad things happen to good people and it's unfortunate that this incident happened, but it did and hopefully most if not all of us can learn from not only the topic at hand, but the comments made on this post alone.

Thanks for your post, Steve. To distance yourself and your business from the spiteful, trifling personal attacks volleyed in my direction and this communitys direction of late would be a classy move if it were genuine.

However, it recently came to my attention that in cyjacks welcome post on your business promotional message board, a site administrator named steve made the following comment:

Clearly, this statement attempts to endorse Professor Ks comments while taking a petty, oblique swipe at me. If the site admin named Steve is not your account, forgive my mistake. Otherwise:

People are, of course, entitled to their own personal opinions. However, youve chosen to take a public stance here. If he doesnt represent your business, surely you do. For the sake of clarity, do you agree with Professor Ks comments regarding the NikeTalk community and its facilitators (myself included)? Do you believe that his comments represent you and your organization? Do they represent the class and decorum you feel befit Sole Collector?

Bear in mind, were not talking about his right to make comments, were talking about the comments themselves. Do you AGREE with his comments or not?

Its a simple question, and circumlocution will not serve you well.
