Colombians STAY Pimpin, PIMPIN'! ::Katt Williams voice::

Arsenal are taking a young Colombian on Trial next month from Atletico Nacional (name escapes me at the moment), but my motherland has SOOO much untapped talent, and Porto (for example) have been one of the FEW Euro clubs to jump on it...

Last name is Perez, I believe. I posted him on the previous page. But apparently he's highly rated. Some are saying that the trial shouldn't be necessary and we should just try and sign him.

According to the Times, Luis Suárez is ready to explore the depth of Arsenal’s interest in him after Arsenal bid £30m for the Liverpool star.

Luis Suárez has refused to close the door on a move to Arsenal as he continues to agitate for a move from Liverpool.

Suárez, having claimed previously that he was unsettled in England because of what he perceives to be unfair treatment by the FA and the British media, changed emphasis yesterday as the Uruguay striker spoke of Arsenal’s interest in flattering terms. At the same time, he dismissed suggestions of a move to Chelsea.

"It's good to know that I am still valued by teams like Arsenal." said the Uruguay international.

I still think that Arsenal bidding for Suarez is just a move to get Real to sell us Higuain faster because they all have interest in him. And with Chelsea making a bid, it would increase pressure on them to make a move. Especially since we would be paying in cash. Suarez would also cost more than Higuain. Doesn't really make sense to why we would be after him. Wenger doesn't go after players with attitude issues. But it's not exactly Suarez's attitude among other mental aspects.

Internacional have rejected an €18m bid for Leandro Damãio from Napoli.
PSG have turned down a Napoli bid for Verratti, according to Sky Italy.

BELIZE, TONIGHT’S GOLD CUP OPPONENT FOR THE US, NEEDS YOUR MONEY

If you liked Tahiti in last month’s Confederations Cup, you’re going to love  Belize in the 2013 Gold Cup.

This tiny nation, with a population of a little more than 300,000, didn’t even have its own national soccer team until 1995, and has long been considered the weakest team in Central America. But this year, Belize shocked the world — well, this corner of it anyway — by placing fourth in the Copa Centroamericana. This surprise finish meant Belize qualified for their first ever Gold Cup.

There was just one problem: Belize didn’t have the money to fund all the travel costs. The team organized a telethon, and local communities even hosted BBQ fundraisers. But as our own Leander Schaerlaeckens wrote in his match preview, the Gold Cup “Cinderella," just mere hours before their first game against the United States, still doesn’t have all the funds to get from Portland, OR to their next matches in Salt Lake City, UT and East Hartford, CT.

You can do your part to make sure this tournament’s “Tahiti" doesn’t go bankrupt trying to get to all their matches during the Gold Cup: Belize is still asking for donations on their website.

Well damn, USSF should just pay their travel costs for them :lol they won't make it out of group play anyways

I see David Villa taking over and doing some damage this coming season with Athletico. Almost like retribution to Barcelona for selling him. Cant believe dude went from Valencia to Barcelona then to Athletico. :{

Why would he want retribution? There are no hard feelings on either side, as both sides wanted the move. The club facilitated the move to Atletico because Villa wanted it - despite the fact that he's worth a lot more than what he was sold for. I do agree in thinking he'll have a good season, and will be highly motivated in doing so.
He'll be missed in blaugrana. Pure magic in that '10-11 season - no supporter will ever forget the 5-0 or his pearl of a goal in the CL final.

I think it's a common general career path. He made his name at Valencia, and earned his big move to Barca. Now on the relative downside of his career, he's moved to a highly respectable club like AMadrid where he'll be first choice CF and will still play in the CL.

With the new season approaching, I think its time for me to finally start supporting a club. Don't know which one though 8o

I kind of am in the same boat. Its hard to support a club when you never get to watch their games. I have always just like players not really teams. If i had to choose i usually go with the team that has an american starter...i liked everton when Donovan was over there....and i liked Fullham when Duece was there...guess i liked Tottenham this past year because of Duece. And I am obviously from maryland (bmore really) and Under Armour is a Bmore company and they supply the kits for Tottenham....so im leaning toward them...even though i don't like this years kit with the dumb HP on the chest with the weird collar on the homes and the smurf away jersey. Hopefully the 3rd jeresy is nice

It's just a reach. It makes things more interesting. After all if Atletico were to play Barcelona and villa has a hat trick and they beat Barcelona, I wouldn't be surprised if headlines were to appear with something similar to what I said.

Ghana-France has some good action so far...France have the black stars on their heels early. Crazy that two teams from the USAs group are in the semis while the prohibited favorite, also from the group is already out

After a season starring for the Fulham Under-18′s, Emerson Hyndman has been rewarded by the club for all his work.

The grandson of FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman has signed a contract extension through the end of June 2016, just three months after signing his first professional contract with the club. The diminutive (5-foot-3 inch) midfielder has played with the U.S. Under-15s and Under-17s in the past, though wasn’t part of the failed qualifying effort for the Under-17 World Cup.

Hyndman joined the Fulham Academy in 2011, leaving his hometown of Dallas and the FC Dallas youth scheme behind. The 17-year old made his return to Dallas last March, playing with Fulham in the Dallas Cup.

This past season, Fulham Under-18s won their second consecutive U-18 Premier League title, defeating Reading in the final, 3-0. Hyndman had one assist in the final.
