last night seemed like a filler episode minus Daryl and Beta's fight scene. I wish they would just cancel this show, it had lost its luster for me a while back even before Rick and Maggie parted ways.

if you dont like the show then dont watch it... that doesnt mean they should cancel the show cuz you dont like it... believe it or not a lot of people still watch the walking dead

In the comics, is it even a point of interest to actually find out what caused this/how to stop it, or have they just deaded that whole idea.

May have been harsh in saying cancel, but I hate when a show that I like which had a solid story line and plot development is drawn out simply to make money. The appeal has been watered down with similar and repetitive story lines. It's almost fatigued at this point. Just my 2 pennies.

AMC Confirms A Third 'Walking Dead' Series Is Coming
AMC’s expansion plan for The Walking Dead includes indefinite seasons of the main show, new movies with big-name cast members like Andrew Lincoln and continued crossovers between the main show and its spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead. But now we’re starting to hear more about how Fear will not be the only spin-off for long, something that has felt obvious for a while, but now AMC is starting to talk more about it openly.
In a Q4 call (via The Wrap), Ed Carroll, AMC’s chief operating officer, had this to say about a third series in the works:
That is in active development. We’re not yet at a stage where we’ll be announcing its plans to premiere. But we have hired creative people that have pitched story outlines. We feel very good about the development of that series.
A third Walking Dead series, joining the other two which currently run 16 weeks a year, means that if rotated correctly, AMC could go 48 weeks out of 52 per year with some sort of Walking Dead show airing on Sunday nights. I have previously argued that with dropping ratings and a splintering cast, that tripling down on The Walking Dead seems like an odd move. But AMC’s position is that The Walking Dead is still very strong, despite declines, beating all other cable shows on Sundays and holding its own with the networks as well (though it did used to beat them handily). And then there’s the additional fact that Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead are AMC’s two highest rated programs by a fairly substantial margin. Despite having a lot of prestige programming, none of it puts up the numbers of these series.

Nah, I cosign TWD getting canceled. The show's 9 seasons deep, the stars are leaving, the writing is ****. It's been that way for years now. It needs to be canceled with one to the head so it doesn't come back.

Yall seem to want instant battles non stop on this show, that would not make it good. Some stuff takes some buildup in seasons past they REALLY got stuck drawing stuff out but this season I will not say that. The story is progressing fine given the amount of episodes left. The Whisperer war will not take place and end in this season, there are only three episodes left.
All that said, the last season of this show should be season 10. After the Whisperers there is nothing compelling story wise for them to do so they might as well end it especially since most of the bigger name actors are leaving

agree. I never understand why people call for shows to be cancelled. It still makes money. They have cons dedicated to the walking dead. Just don’t watch. I’ve always been a hardcore fan of the comics and show and yes it stinks that big name actors are leaving like Andy, Norman the biggest one is still there. And they have the new world order storyline still to tell.

Tara is a weak leader, Hilltop seems to have the least fighters of the communities but she left only the 3 dumb teens to guard the wagon with the old couple and baby there while she took all the capable fighters with her, it's actually looking like they really need Magna's group since Magna and Yumiko is looking like their most formidable fighters when Darryl isn't there.

The show expanding is cool. I don't see a problem with it. As a viewer, it doesn't make me feel boxed in, the only thing I'd be cautious about is the same theme of people being the danger and not the walkers. That gets stale after a while. I hope they mix it up. As far as the main show, it's interesting again to me. I just hate when the writing drags out the storyline.

Filler episode? We got introduced to a new group for the 3 settlements to form a new allegiance with.
We also witnessed the spark that’ll start the Whisperers war + Daryl might’ve found a new piece in deaf girl
I’m just waiting for Corral 2.0 to catch the ill fade soon. They gotta get him out the paint ASAP.

Acting wise that might be one of their best episodes ever. Michonne killed it. Judith’s dialogue was way too adult like though lol
