Agree. It was a great accomplishment for them to beat a team with 4 superstars that had home court advantage and were heavily favored to win the series by NBA analysts, Las Vegas bookies and the general population in nation and world-wide polls. It was also nice for LeBron to carry the team on his back every single night even when he was missing Bosh for a good chunk of the playoffs, and be hands down the team and league MVP of the regular season, first round of the playoffs, second round of the playoffs, conference finals and NBA finals.

I don't know why, but it randomly popped in my head the other night that last year this Heat team's PGs were Mike Bibby and Carlos Arroyo

I know Dallas got hot and beat them last year, but no wonder the Heat didn't win, the roster was loaded with a bunch of guys who couldn't contribute, nor

even had the potential to. Just a bunch of guys who could fill the roster to have a team. What a difference a year makes.

The role players deserve props for hitting 3s in the finals.. But prior to the finals, all season:

Ray Allen would be like a kid in a candy store getting all the open looks Chalmers, Battier and Miller had, again prior to the finals. Same as the previous season (replace Battier with Bibby).

hope my statement didn't get interpreted the wrong way fellas haha. I'm a huge Bron fan and meant that. Bosh doesn't get enough cred for how he came back and knocked down crucial shots in the Boston series and the finals. Reason why I'm still amazed was because this squad was on the brink of destruction heading into game 4 of the Indiana series, and game 6 in Boston. Bron came thru tho

and the rest of the pieces did their part.

as much as i wanted to see him play.. our players do need a rest and anyway that they can stay healthy and rested  for next season is a plus...

I have a feeling they're saving every nickel and dime for Ray Allen. They must have some sort of commitment either from him or at least a commitment from some veteran unknown to the media. Otherwise they wouldn't be dodging the entire draft.

New CBA really screwed up Miami, they already are going to be hit with some Tax in coming years, and Micky Arison said they will only maybe break even as a business this year. And this is with a playoffs going all the way through Finals including a 7 game ECF.

Unless there's a good big man to draft and develop, or a backup SG to develop who can fill in for Wade when his knees are dead, I don't see any need for a full draft of players this year.
Develop Cole and continue on with what we have, no problem letting go of our 1st round pick.
