Is it weird that I never felt the Durant-Curry combo ever clicked like that? Of course they won and had big games.
They clicked but it's different since warriors offense was well oiled machine already kd just fit in seamlessly. Other duos like kobe/shaq wade/lebron mj/pip had the wholes offenses built around them from the start. With gs everything was already in place they just received a massive upgrade and became unstoppable.

Maybe the three years just passed too quick to digest everything.

Edit:

Maybe the system overshadowed the individual talent to me?
Yeah

The KD/steph duo felt different because those other legendary duos featured 2 goats that lead their teams from a different class. With the warriors, klay was a killer too and draymond was the glue to make it click. The dubs dominated in more of a team way, not just from 2 goats

Steph/KD or Shaq/Kobe?

Do you just post stuff just to troll? Kobe and Shaq >>> KD and Curry and it's not even close. On top of having more titles and three-peating, Kobe and Shaq had a much bigger impact on the game.

Also, it was never just KD and Curry, it was the "Hampton 5" Warriors. The Warriors team was so stacked that they were times when neither KD nor Steph even had to play well for them to win. Kobe and Shaq had to bring it every single night! There was no 3rd teammate like Klay who could go for 30. It was pretty much all Kobe and Shaq. Teams knew exactly what was coming they just couldn't stop it. Please go back to your cave.

Also they didn't get the benefit of having the national media be totally on their side. People really let their disdain for KDs decision blind them from appreciating some great basketball.

maybe people find competitive basketball worth more appreciation. sure its fun to watch an absolutely stacked team, but the thunder warriors series before KD left was fun. the cavs warriors series before kd was fun. once KD went to the warriors, they had maybe 1-2 competitive series.

All those laughing emojis.....and you’re flat out WRONG. Sad post.

That KD/Steph duo is LETHAL. And arguably one of the top 2 duos ever. Again, we’re talking about DUOS and talents. Don’t understand why you’re talking about 3rd guys.

Steph & Klay won 67 games, a chip & 73 games and a finals appearance as a duo with Harrison Barnes and Draymond as their 3rd options. And they aren’t mentioned in the duo convos.

So relax, and go back to wherever you came from with this horrible take you spewed. Separate your hate, and learn context.

When KD first went to GSW I actually liked the move and wanted to see the best players together. But I hardly watched any of their games because it was no challenge for them

Gotta be the most well balanced one of these hypotheticals I've seen

Would pick A but damn B would be so nasty

The team that has KD would win

Prime KD? Pssh

This performance....from the 2015 Western Conference Finals...is one of my favorites. Steph finished with 40 pts...and they beat the rockets by 35. Steph had 37, through 3 quarters . Barely played the 4th. And this was the “James Harden should’ve been mvp” season.

They cried about it so much, and were upset that Steph won his first mvp...that the Players and CP3 went to the league office to have an awards ceremony after the season. Where the players could select their mvp. And they chose Harden. It’s the reason we have a damn awards after the season now.

Steph Curry. Hilarious when you think about it . One day....y’all may realize what really happened these past fee years.

The 30 for 30 on the Warriors gonna be so damn good

KD was not that much better than Steph *ducks*

Of course he wasn’t. They were equal...or KD better by a hair...because of what he could do physically. But as far as impact...and who drove winning...it was Steph being the foundation. He’s the system. KD said it himself.

The 2018 Rockets series is a study on that. And the Rockets almost pulled it off...baiting KD into ISO’s against PJ tucker.

People now talk about the 17 & 18 Warriors like they were some team that barely won, and KD saved them. Not realizing that they were literally obliterating every team, and it was not even competitive . They had competitive moments...in series that they were ahead 2-0 in. And KD showed his value with big boy shots.
