seems like the pacers always go through coaches every 4-5 yrs. one bad season or quick out in the playoffs and you're basically out (carlisle, vogel, mcmillan)
Carlisle won a chip after Indy. Vogel was about to win a chip before yesterday. McMillan’s future team or the one after that got next :pimp:

Black coaches don't get the same opportunity as others. I get that they got swept, but take into consideration that the team has been hobbled almost the entire year. Then some of your key guys are also out come playoffs. They stuck with Vogal for years when they had PG, Granger etc, doing foolishness.

He spent a whopping season and a half more than Nate McMillian in Indy. BTW...Nate also has over 16 years under his belt as a head coach.

He had to take a leave of absence in Cleveland because his health was rapidly deteriorating. As amazing as the salary is, the job is just as stressful. Team doesn’t meet expectations for any reason at all & you’re out.

That assistants chair is likely what he wants... unless you cash him out.

Yea Nate is highly regarded around the league. This was his 3rd gig, he’s been an assistant on the Olympic team staff. He’s embraced the 3 point line going all the way back to Seattle. He’ll get another look.

I was speaking in regards to his tenure in Indy. An extra season and a half is still more than what Mcmillan got. Nate Mcmillan is also one of the few exceptions. Indy imo is taking a couple of steps back. Plus Oladipo has expressed how much he respects McMillan. If you had any concerns about him leaving before, well this has solidified it imo.
