Picked up a Nexus 4 for cheap today after breaking my S3..wasn't planning on getting a new phone anytime soon at all

I would look into the Galaxy Nexus as well. You can get them for under $100 on eBay. That's my backup phone

I think because I still had my Blackberry Bold 9700 until last year, that I don't get as anxious when new phones release.

I was pretty content with that one until I upgraded to the Gnex and even though it wasn't the best when I got it, I was still happy with the Nexus and still am. Don't get me wrong, the N5, One, etc. all look incredible and I would love to have them, but I'm still really satisfied... other than battery life of course.

I still want a black htc one, thats the only phone thats really wowed me this year. s4, s4 active, note 3, g pro, xperia z, g2 are all very nice phones but don't stand up the the One design-wise imho and those speakers on the One are fire. the g2 has the best screen I've ever seen though...if the sound quality on the g2 was on par with the one I'd definitely cop.

I think I'll end up with a nexus 5 though, a black one on tmobile aint happening and I'll be able to cop the n5 for cheaper.

i had that problem too..

you have to turn onff some of the google locate stuff... that dramatically improved my battery performance..

when i uploaded the stable CyanogenMod... it was butter from there...

the Nexus 5 (i dont know how true it is) is rumored to have a "max" version... 3000 mah battery in the 32 gb...

that'll potentially get you through 2 days if you tweak the settings right.
