So my wife M8 stop working. It just went black .. She never dropped the phone or anything. The phone still work and the screen is responsive as she can still Swype to pick up calls. Any clues???

isnt there an internal default way to do it within the sms app. I know my m8 have it in the default app settingsNeed to back up my text messages from my Note 2 to take to my Note 4. The 2 previous go to apps, SMS Backup + and SMS Backup & Restore, are bringing them over without the photos. It seems that when they make that .xml file and you bring it over, it replaces the new phone's current one and so I get a gap missing from the time I got the new phone til now when I backed up and restored to the new phone (Dec 1 to Dec

Wasn't doing much different than what I usually do, Surf the web, i had voice recorder on majority of the time to listen to lectures, a little bit of youtube, ig, snapchat....I use greenify also which helps conserve battery power. Sats from that day:

The Nexus 7 is at 5.0.1 now
I heard there were a lot of issues, and mine never got the 5.0. I heard it was pulled, but I got the 5.0.1 today. Hopefully it eliminates the problems.
I'll let you know how it runs.

What's your daily usage like as far as apps go? Maybe you got a bad battery? Has it been giving you performance issues since day one or just recently? You're rooted I'm assuming? Did you freeze the bloatware apps? (not sure if that improves battery life or not but I have them frozen). My battery has been great since the day I got it.

I use Instagram and Chrome through the day, bit of youtube later in the day but I don't play games or use heavy usage apps. I make sure to greenify every app I hibernated them whenever I lock screen. I think ive freezed the bloatware I could be wrong. Going by others reports 3-4hrs max is normal, you just seem to have a lucky phone I tink. As yes im rooted.

Damn that G3 battery is crazy.
Can't deal with the Nexus 6 and that battery life, think I might get the Note 4, never thought I would get a Samsung but right now it looks like it is the clear winner. Plus I can always Jump into something else later on.

Sounds like your usage isn't much different than mine. The only thing I can think of is getting a replacement battery. How's your signal strength? Roaming or searching for signal? I don't always get 6hours, today I got 4 hours 10min but is mostly hovers around 4 hours for the most part for OST.

not really. still at 3-4 hours ost over 24 hours. but my use and charging has been sporadic this week, so it's hard to say for sure. next I'll try turning off location reporting and see if that does the trick.
might do a factory reset too when I install 5.01.
