I went to the theater to watch the movie yesterday. Black Widow definitely didn’t hit.

I’ve seen reviews comparing it to other spy films. I suppose the biggest spy franchises currently are Mission Impossible and Bond.

Since she’s got no powers, it has to be rooted in cloak and dagger antics. As that type of movie, I guess it was aiight. Not a dark and gritty Casino Royal.

It should have had less humor. It’s like they don’t want to deal with real adult themes like hysterectomy, mind control, abandonment, abuse, etc.

This is definitely a Disney thing. Part of the formula to make it mainstream and approachable for everyone.

I’d definitely say it’s a C or 6/10. + is it has a female lead in a MCU movie. + it leads into another MCU project. + Good Action. - Taskmaster. - Writing. - Plot.

Also, most Marvel movies have terrible villains with the exception of Thanos and Killmonger. It’s crazy that Disney who has created the likes of Malficient, Cruella, Scar, etc.

it was a solid movie. i didn't expect anything mind blowing, even by MCU standards. it wasn't trash, but it aright. i was entertained. but it was on low end of MCU scale.

Yes.

Gave yall the summary in GotGv2. Celestial being all alone in space, all powerful, goes around ******* *****es and having mad kids. Then goes about killing all the children that didn't inherit his powers as he plans to exterminate most life in the universe. Just gotta throw in some other cosmic beings like the Collector, Grandmaster, and Judicator. Maybe a good guy space hero to beat like Quasar or Zal-Dek.

Same with Ghost. Spy/assassin movie. She was killing for SHIELD with her intangible powers for at least 10 years. Throw in Fury, maybe Coulson and Hill. Have her take out some terrorist organization and then reveal in end credits they're back.

MCU can make a solo movie out of most of the comic characters they've introduced even if you think they're lacking.

Question about Loki episode 5. At the end of the ep, mobius uses a timepad to go back to the tva. That was his own timepad right, the one he switched back with renslayer? Then she must’ve forgot he had it when he got pruned.

In E4, before Mobius got pruned, he gave one of the guards Renslayer's time-pad back & when the guards came in on E5 before Sylvia pruned herself, I believe Renslayer said "She took my time-pad" so it's definitely Ravonna's.

Hopefully that convinces them to do the remainder of 2021's MCU titles on Disney +.
Would love to have the option to watch at home if possible.

Yeah Klaw could've been a solo villain. Didn't love that he died but it had to happen.

Purposely left out the Spidey movies but if we talking about the MCU writing of villains then yeah they were on a good streak for awhile until Captain Marvel. Also apparently BW with Taskmaster.

I respect that list minus the Spidey villains. Loki obviously got his own series. Maybe it’s the plots in the movies where these villains are sandwiched into.

so im guessing the Loki TV show didn't have the usual andy park garbage costume design

Taskmasker is some of his worst work and that's saying a lot.
