The length.

A trailer is usually 2-3 minutes, a spot would be like 30 seconds or so.

It took her a minute to respond. She was asked publicly about this stuff months ago. What really did her in was that comment she made about not wanting to play stereotypical Asian roles because she doesn’t want to make a minstrel of her people. What she should have done months ago was to kill off the Awkwafina character. Clearly, it’s an act. Kill the character, become Nora and stop being a hypocrite. Awkwafina is not like Ice or Latifah. If anything, she’s more like Mark Wahlberg and Will Smith, who both dropped their original Rap names. Also, Ice and Latifah didn’t have these identity/authenticity issues that Awk currently has.
