I do agree most Johnnie Walkers have a very similar flavor profile.

A lot of them, actually. Balvenie 15 is my favorite. I also like Oban 14, Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich and Laphroaig.

My guess would be that it's probably the Cardhu in JW that puts you off. Has a bit of a liquorice in the flavor.
The Balvenie 15 is a great Scotch indeed!

I’m with you on all of this. Balvenie and Glenmorangie are some of the best bangs for the buck IMO. At least from the 12s on up I’ve tried.
And speaking of Oban, this was a quarantine blind buy. Good, but at the heightened price point I don’t know that I’d get it again when I can get 2 bottles of Little Bay for around the same price.

Cracked a EHT Small Batch last night. Always so good, especially around $40.
Made my first run in a couple weeks today (curbside pickup) and was able to grab a Blanton’s for $70. Not a bad price around my parts. Blanton’s is hit or miss for me due to single barrel, but when it hits it’s damn good.

A celebration of sorts tonight. Today was my last day at my current job.
A couple side notes:
The “Kentucky Spirit” is not what I had hoped this bottle would be. Being a single barrel it could just be this one. The store I bought it from also did an Elijah Craig Barrel pick and it was awful. Barely better than the EW 1783. That made me wonder if the people at this store just pick bad barrels lol.
Also, I got in to my EHT SmB and I really liked it when I opened it, but last couple pours were kinda off for me. Thinking when it’s gone I might hold off and just try Eagle Rare.

No doubt. If you can find a Booker’s Country Ham (2019-3), I’d gladly trade one with you.
I’ve said it before but the Country Ham is probably my favorite bourbon right now.

I really like it. I did a blind against EHT Rye and the EHT Rye won, but I do love the AMND.
