what is the best lcdhdtv on the market right now?

I did my research and found out what I should be looking for when buying a tv but the tv reviews were a little outdated. I'm in the market for the best 720p LCD 32 to 40inches. preferably sold at Best Buy cause i know a guy that works there.

Strictly Sony or Samsung.
Both are continuously going back and forth for #1 and #2 for best LCDs.
