what was jay-z worst verse??

his verse on Mo' Money by R. Kelly ft. Twista is trash

edit -- ^^^ cool for the pics bro , but his suit and tie verse is average at best . sure there's word play , but his delivery is boring as **** to me and not hard hitting

Just because the lyrics have a frame of reference doesn't make it a good verse.

And this is from someone who respects the HELL out of dudes who's lyrics are grounded in some semblance of reality.

I remember being pretty underwhelmed when I heard it.

Suit and Tie was terrible from a lyrical stand point

C'mon Duece :lol I wasn't saying anything nobody hasn't already said about the verse, I'm not a rookie no need to break it down for me i understood every word and topic Jay present in that verse and I still think it was awful. I'm probably a bigger Jay-Z stan than you are, I'm still in denial about ETHER :lol

That's all well and good and I'm NOT saying Jay had the verse of the year or verse of his career on Suit and Tie, I just didn't agree with the point made that his verse was TERRIBLE, or TERRIBLE from a lyrical standpoint.  That's just me however.

No doubt.  I just don't think lyrically his verse was TERRIBLE as you suggested or indicated.

As far as the topic of this thread is concerned, given some of the replies in here I would go with "Ha Remix" thus far.

This thread might as well be changed to post black album jay unappreciation. Cats just in here naming recent radio verses, except for a few.

Despite his lyricism I think what kills it the most is that the flow and delivery is so off. Timbo threw him a oop and he completely missed. Even given the content it was set up for hov to hit a home run and it's like he struck out at t-ball.

I don't see how his flow and delivery was off, but I hear you and your opinion on the matter.

Not sure if his verse sucked but I did not like him on that You Don't Know Remix with MOP. Jay of all people should know you don't let MOP rap first on any track. After they pretty much killed the track, I sat through J**** verse like, wtf is this, and proceeded to rewind back to MOP.

Ha Remix is pretty awful, still don't understand what he was thinking when he did that.

He's had a lot of mediocre verses lately but nothing that terrible. I always found his verse on Big L's "Da Graveyard" kind of ******, back when he was still rapping fast

Introducing himself to the South ..

The verse was sooooo piss poor tho man , It literally infuriated me to hear him on it..

I would say vice versa but I wasn't no where near the tri state , so idk how Cash money was received back then ..

I'm pretty sure they hated them ****** tho

This thread is getting ridiculous now. It was one thing when songs and verses were being called into question(most of which I disagree with) but now people are throwing entire albums into the fire, an album that had So Ghetto, Hova Song all three parts, Dope Man, Snoopy Track, Big Pimping, Some Like it Hot, There's Been a Murder, NYMP, S. Carter, and Do I Again on it? All these songs better yet all these verses were wack? No way someone believes that.

:eek dude said Vol. 2 was trash! #BLASPHEMY :{ I'm trying to contain the stan in me but y'all going overboard with the foolishness!

Volume 2 was not trash contrary to what people say. Commercial yes, but not trash. Jay has had a good number of brick at the buzzer verses for awhile now though

Suit & Tie and Don't Kill My Vibe (Remix) are recent verses that are HORRIBLE. I would EASILY take Jay's verse on Ha over those two songs :x
