Why is Popeyes so slow

went to the popeyes in Fairfield, ca right quick and a young man came out to tell everyone in the drive through (right before they put a sign up) saying they have the chicken for the chicken sandwiches but they don't have the buns lol

line was around the store and down the block
and the line inside was out the door
walked up
said i had a mobile order
asked how long they said making it right now
requested extra extra mayo
and to make sure no pickles
was in and out in less than 5 min
every one else looked heated
sandwich was good
a lil better than the original release

When I went there was a separate line for app order pickup

Each store has a full crew dedicated just for sandwiches
Wait times should get better
If my calculations are correct it looked like they were making around 30 -35 sandwiches per hour
I saw 1 worker batter up the all chicken filets
Then another fry it up
Then 2 workers making the sandwiches with a supervisor overlooking everything
You can really see everything going on in the back

Freaking app wasn't working for me yesterday, had to wait for almost 30 mins. Got 2 spicy sandwiches. The breast was fresh, big, and juicy... them mf barely put any mayo tho. Imma have to tell them extra extra mayo next time

I need to find out of the Popeye's along I-5 sells this. If so, that should be an easy pick up since it's in the middle of nowhere. I'll report my findings this weekend lol.

Popeyes in Flushing, Queens. End of the line, right in front of the entrance. This is the longest line I have ever been on in this particular spot. However, I only had to wait about 12 minutes. They had one line for cash only. I leapfrogged ahead of like 6 people thanks to that.

I just don't understand what the social media/marketing manager did to get this much hype. You'd think this was a new animal that people have never tried before. There was an older couple in line ahead of me, husband pushing wife in wheelchair. All they wanted was the sandwich. When they found out it was sold out they turned around and left.

a lot of spots are taking EBT. I think amazon fresh does now too.

That's kinda dope for folks who live in food desert.

I use to live close to this Popeyes, and I'm not surprised by this.

I can wait til the hype dies to try the sandwich again, it's just not worth it.
