The more Jerry gets upset the more I appreciate the character depiction
Yeah, the more he squirms the more I think its accurate to the tee and he's embarrassed people get to see behind the scenesThe more Jerry gets upset the more I appreciate the character depiction
All that is good and well, but what I think is a bit unfair is how he's being depicted and he has openly discussed how he struggled with depression throughout his life, and people think he's a maniac. Entertainment is fine, but I wonder how a current player would feel if they talked about mental health struggles openly, and somewhere down the line a show is created about a period in their life kind of poking fun at their personality and mental health. I wonder how that would be perceived? Again, I understand the entertainment value of the show and know it's not meant to be fully accurate and there is a show disclaimer.
In the first episode, I forgot who it was that came to his house after a loss. He was in the middle of his living room in his underwear with the curtains closed for days. Then from that, he's a full blown maniac driven by the fear and pain of losing. I'm just trying to understand it from the side of someone made fun of dealing with something as serious as depression.Maybe I missed an episode but how are they poking fun at his depression?
