Wrestling Thread Aug 11-24 | 8/18 RAW - Brock DESTROYS Cena, New WWE Title Belt (Bye Big Gold)

Wow thats awesome. I remember that video of him meeting HHH and saying how he inspired him to lose weight and lift

Sure you can.... It's not like he's had bad matches year after year in tna... The in ring work is the one major grace the tna always had... Imo, AJ is the bitw right now... You can put him in the ring against anyone and get a 4* match...

AJ has probably been the wrestler with the most 3.5-4 star matches of the past decade..TNA's wrestling, up until about Hogan and Bischoff joined, was consistently better than WWE..They just can't seem to get storylines that fans want to see..
Former WWE And WCW Star Says A Current WWE Diva Is A 'Pain' To Work With
Former WWE and WCW star Konnan was tweeted a photoshopped photo of Layla, Summer Rae and former WCW star Disco Inferno, who is one of his co-hosts at MLW Radio. Konnan responded to that photoshopped image with the following:

"The young witch and the pain in the ***..#BOOM."

Konnan told another fan that Layla is the pain in the *** he was referring to and told them to "just ask around especially the trainers."

Konnan said to another fan that he wasn't "hatin" on Layla and that he would go into more detail on his podcast.

Another fan asked Konnan what his beef with Layla is. He responded:

"@IAmGlitterati i don't have a beef,im stating what i was told by my boys in WWE, she's a pain in da *** 2 work with.do u listen 2 my podcast"

Agreed. TNA from its beginning til some if 07 was good to great. They were truly a real alternative to the WWE. Then after that they gradually became WWE-lite, and sometimes WCW Thunder 2000.

And @SuNiversal is a better wrestler now than Konnan ever was, so it doesn't even matter

- PWInsider reports that indie wrestling star Willie Mack will begin working for WWE soon after finishing up the signing process. We noted back in May that Mack was reportedly offered a WWE developmental deal at the same time Kevin Steen was.

NXT gon be gud :pimp:

While there has been much speculation and rumor surrounding the matter, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that WWE fired Alberto del Rio after slapping Cody Barbierri, the company’s Manger of Social Media Live Events. The incident took place at last Tuesday’s Main Event and Smackdown taping event, when Barbierri made a racial joke about it being del Rio’s job to clean off his plate in catering. The former world champion asked him to apologize, and when he did not, del Rio slapped him hard, knocking him the ground.

Triple H made the call to ADR himself, and the belief is that WWE was going to suspend him until after SummerSlam, but Barbierri threatened to sue the company. According to the Observer, he is not well-liked backstage by many of the wrestlers, who he frequently talks down to, but is a high ranking social media player for WWE, and has the support of the McMahon family. It’s being said that the roster is actually sympathetic to the former Superstar, but it’s not like in the older days, and a trained fighter can’t be attacking anyone, much less a non-wrestler employee.

Del Rio (real name: Alberto Rodriguez) will indeed be appearing for AAA at their TripleMania event this Sunday, and the news is already a major mainstream story in Mexico. The promotion has been interested in bringing him in before this incident, and it was likely he’d end up there when his contract expired later this year anyways. His brother, former WWE developmental talent Guillermo Rodriguez (El Hijo de Dos Caras) has come out and said he expects to do trios matches with del Rio and their father, Dos Caras.

It is assumed that both he and Ricardo Rodriguez have a 90-day non-complete clause in their contract, so the first time del Rio could perform for any promotion on a televised or PPV event is November 5th.

This is disgusting yet not surprising considering all the racially insensitive things we've endured over the years while watching the WWE. :smh:

Someone makes a racist comment about you, you check them, you get in trouble. Damn shame. I guess this wasn't about race either right? :rolleyes
