Extremely potent scorer. When paired with a competent pg (Syracuse, Denver, Olympics, ‘13 Knicks) he’s one of the best ever at getting baskets. He’s not a vocal leader which is what many label his biggest shortcoming. He spent the last year here being berated by the GM and casual fans and never said a bad word about either. Instead of surrounding him with talent that was capable of maximizing on his talent they spent his last 4 years trying to force a dated system that no longer works in today’s NBA.

thank you! That is what I wanted to see, someone giving an objective view of a player who they may have a bias for. I totally agree with you about the Knicks pissing away his scoring talents. I get the dude could always shoot. My concern in this NBA landscape is that many players have to play ,multiple roles and you need a VERY capable supporting cast to hide any players outright negatives. Obviously the Knicks were not about that. Denver did in various seasons, and hell, the Olympics don't even count because the US seriously is so far ahead of anyone not named Gasol or residing in Spain and even then we hand them their asses.

It just always seemed to me he was a one trick pony when you had guys like Bron doing so much, Wade being able to attack the basket in multiple ways before his injuries piled up, Bosh (it kind of hurts me to say this) being able to play on both ends well. That draft class had so many great players, and Melo just seemed like the odd man out in terms of where he landed. Maybe he just never got the right cast and the shake he deserved.

Must have been named by Melinnials that just moved here.

Never heard of it

"Although official records are scarce, ROSE PARK was originally established in 1918 by the Ancient Order of the Sons and Daughters of Moses when a plot of land was donated by the Ancient Order for African-American children in the neighborhood to use for recreation purposes.
Rose Park, known at various earlier times as Pattersons Park, Jacobs Park, and Winships Lot, was remodeled by the Department of Recreation in the late 1930s and by the early 1940s was frequented by both the black and white Georgetown community.

Around 1945 the D.C. Recreation Department, in an attempt to segregate the playground, posted a “For Coloreds Only” sign, which was widely protested by black and white members of the community. The sign was removed, never to reappear again, and the city finally acknowledged that Rose Park was one of the first integrated parks in the District.

The park was frequented by tennis greats. Sisters Margaret Peters and Roumania Peters Walker, who lived just around the corner from the courts at 2710 O Street, N.W., had their start at the courts and played regularly from the 1930s through the 1980s. They played tennis with Gene Kelly on the Rose Park tennis court in the 1940s.

MARGARET PETERS & GENE KELLY

In 2015, via an initiative instituted by Friends of Rose Park, and with the help of DC City Councilman Jack Evans, the Rose Park tennis courts were officially re-named in their honor by our DC City Council as the Margaret Peters and Roumania Peters Walker Margaret Peters and Roumania Peters Walker Rose Park Tennis Courts. View GALLERY of Dedication.

Recreational activities continued in the park, including boy scout troop meetings (sponsored by Mt. Zion Church and other local churches) and summer camps in the Community House. The Rose Park Warriors, a baseball team famous throughout the city, played in the park in the 1940s and 1950s as did other neighborhood teams from P Street, 27th and Olive Streets, 32nd Street, 37th Street, Cherry Hill, Herring Hill, and Grace and K Streets south of M Street.

Park use lapsed in the 1960s and 1970s but rebounded in the 1990s and the 2000s, especially in the late 2000s with the tremendous birth rate and influx of families with small children into the neighborhood."

Also James Dolan is the worst owner in the NBA

Melo is going to the same Hof that TMAC went into

The same HOF Dwight Howard is going in.

We can wager any dollar amount if you think otherwise

I mean, I am not saying it isn't happening, I asked why? lol

Dwight has always been trash but because "competent" big men are at a premium, dude will get a pass.

I could take or leave T-wack. I always liked Vince more (bias as he was from where I grew up in Daytona beach and attended his camps as a kid.).

TMac could of been one of the greats.

You are smart enough to know why.

Don't play clueless

Update on Nia Jax from prowrestlingsheet: Our sources were unable to confirm if she left the show angrily … however, we’re told Jax HAS been granted a leave of absence for personal reasons by management. It’s unclear how long she’ll be gone or what spawned her decision.
