iYen soaking up all the gamerscore / achievements from those unknown games that give you 1000pts for even downloading the game. :hat

Copped for $20 on Friday or Saturday and couldn't put it down :lol. Story was awesome, I loved the mystery of going into the bowels of the complex to the derelict area from the 50s-60s.

Valve needs to stop playing and release Half-Life 3 and Portal 3.

I wish Valve knew how to count to 3. Now you gotta do the Multiplayer maps.

TL;DR

Analyst believes Scorpio will be priced at $399 to stay competitive with Sony's expected price slashing of its consoles.

Microsoft seemed to have struck gold when it announced quite possibly the most powerful console ever made when they announced the Xbox One Scorpio, however there was one major stumbling block, and that was its price. With Phil Spencer going on record saying that the Xbox One Scorpio would be priced like a premium console, many of us were left confused as to just what the price would be. However renowned Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has shed some light on the matter.

Pachter appears to believe that Sony will do everything in its power to keep the Xbox One playing second fiddle, and in order to achieve that they will slash the prices on both the PS4, and the PS4 slim.

Here is the statement that he made to gamesIndustry.biz

PS4 price goes to $199. I think Sony is intent upon keeping Microsoft in distant second, and expect a price cut for standard PS4 (slim) to $199 before year-end 2017.

He further added that Microsoft risks falling further behind if they are not able to keep up with the price drops , and he estimates that if the PS4 Pro drops its price before the holidays of 2017 ( which is a likely possibility) than Microsoft has a real tough battle on their hands.

Here is what he had to say on the matter

The Xbox Scorpio is priced at $399. This might not be low enough, particularly if PS4 Pro drops before holiday 2017, but Microsoft has to price competitively or fall farther behind.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the Xbox One Scorpio is priced come 2017, and whether it can actually fulfill its promise and knock down the PS4 Pro from its perch.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE COMPETITION. THE GAMERS IN THE END ARE THE REAL WINNERS. :hat

Is there any shooter where I can just practice my aim? Hate missing easy kills and death match isn't the best time to work on your skills

Halo. Swat playlist. Headshots for days.

SWAT IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST RAGE INDUCING PLAYLISTS OF ANY SHOOTER. EVER.

Until your reaction times raise and your accuracy raises, yes I agree.

But once it does.. :evil :evil :evil

I never played a SWAT game where I ended with under 20 kills, once I got my reaction and aim up.

You don't think SWAT helps with aim? Srs? If you don't nail the headshot on the first shot, you're likely dead.

I mean, ideally I'd tell them to play Octagon 1v1 BR's with MLG rules, but I figured SWAT was a good place to start to improve reaction and aim. :lol

Not sure how SWAT translates to other shooters though.

You only do good at FPS if you have aim and reaction times.. getting the jump on your opponent is key in any FPS game..

All I was saying is that SWAT helps improve both of those aspects. I'm not saying you'll be the best FPS player in the world after playing SWAT for a day, because a lot of things go into being a good FPS player, and they differ by game and even by gametype.

But one thing each FPS game has in common is the need for those two attributes.

IMO.

You spend the entire game Gandhi hopping around, it adds no value.

:| u wot m8

A moving / hopping opponent poses more of a difficulty to aim and hit the head on first shot for those who aren't used to it, thus increasing accuracy practice even more if you ask me.

Am I missing something? Are you saying he won't become an MLG Pro by playing SWAT? Cause that's not what I said at all :lol

Playing Swat doesn't make you better at a shooter much less Halo. It's the last place I'd tell someone to go to improve upon anything.

What makes you good at a shooter involves much more than aim and reaction time, I understand that.

What I'm waiting for is your reasoning as to why SWAT doesn't help a beginner improve at those aspects? (Aim and reaction time)

Now that we know that's that last place you'd tell someone to go and you've spread your thoughts on how inferior one idea is, will you expound on what would work?

why you bashing ideas but not providing solutions??? :x

My halo thumbs are crusty and dying. Anti would win in embarrassing fashion.

But I'm curious to know the logic.

Anti is right swat is in no way shape or form a measuring stick to improve skills in FPS.

To the dude who asked... you're just going to have to play and practice Slayer or whatever the team deathmatch type for the game you're playing.

Yes you're going to get destroyed but that's how you learn.

Look at youtubers that play the game and learn from their playstyles also.

:rolleyes

Yet more dudes saying I was implying it would improve overall FPS skills or slaying skills.

Let me break this down:

SWAT, skills needed:
-aim for headshots
-reaction time because if you get shot first you likely dead
-somewhat understanding of spawns (not even needed really to play and work on these said things)

Slayer (Halo), skills needed:
-strafe
-aim
-reaction time
-grenade tactics
-weapon spawn knowledge
-knowledge on how to use said weapons correctly
-OS knowledge (if applicable to map)
-vehicle spawn knowledge (if applicable to map)
-a decent team / or team shot
-map control / setup

You see my point? I was just pointing him in the most simple direction to get him working on those 2 key functions of any FPS. Aim and reaction time. After he has those up somewhat, he can jump in and start working on other said factors to be successful in Halo.

FYI, Slayer in Halo is trash for working on aim, because you usually spawn with SMG or AR. BR or DMR is what you want to use to work on your aim.

The most damning thing though is the way SWAT engagements work. The majority of time you're playing Halo or any shooter for that matter, you're playing in the horizontals. SWAT is played almost entirely in the verticals, you spend more time jumping than anything and the concept of strafing is removed entirely. It doesnt translate well to anything else because its the only gametype that plays this way.

You're better off playing a mass of default or customs with raised shields than SWAT.

The amount of "Skill" it takes to hit 4-5 shots consistently to kill a guy > Pot shooting a guy one time in general.  I'd wager that your aim and reaction time is better severed playing something where you constantly have to shoot and not miss once or you die.

I definitely didnt say that for what its worth.

While i agree with your analysis on the vertical engagements, I disagree with your statement that it doesn't help.

Learning to aim up / down and left / right period helps no matter what. And the need to get a good shot at the beginning of the engagement helps a lot IMO when comes to getting into regular engagements in regular playlists.

If you're playing MLG w/ BR spawns, and you run into a guy, you think he will never jump? Cmon son. Even if he doesn't, your reaction time and aim is what helps you get the first shot off to get your 1/4 shot going, and if he misses his first shot, you have a 1/4 advantage on him from the get.
