Yooo, Kanye on Sway in the Morning. (updated)

saw this on another forum, made me chuckle so I thought I'd share :D

It's kind of interesting to see him exaggerating the greatness of someone besides himself. Sweet, even... He seems to genuinely see Kim Kardashian as this savvy businesswoman who's leveraged her talents to succeed in new frontiers of entertainment, and who may even go down in history as a one of the more notable sex icon-entertainers of the 21st century. He doesn't see her as shallow or uninteresting, and doesn't see her success as somehow being less than noble. He fully believes in his soon to be wife, regardless of what everyone else thinks.

That's love, guys. The entire world will laugh and disagree when he says things like, "She's the new Marilyn Monroe," but do you think that's going to influence his opinion in the slightest? In his eyes, she's greatness. He sees nothing but the best in her.

After finishing this interview, leaving the studio, and getting into his car, he probably began to cry softly and then reach for his phone to call Kim, as has become his norm. See, he doesn't need to hide his feelings around her. She's used to how sensitive he is, and she deeply appreciates this side to him. Where other people see thin skin, she sees a sensitive artist who manages to thrive in a unique, and rough, environment. She completely has his back.

I think I'll watch the Bound 2 video one more time, and then it's back to studying for finals.

:rollin

Ye's biggest problem is the way he speaks to people. If he could convey his message in a civil manner people will listen, but screaming and yelling like a petulant little girl won't get you far. I respect his message, I respect his passion for his art, but overall I can't respect him as a man the way he acts.

This is something i wish he would try to focus on more and he even spoke on it himself in the BC interview. His reactions mixed with the perception that he already has weakens his message.

In the past few months Jay-Z has compared himself to Picasso and Shakespeare and their was no flack about it because people tend to take jays statements better because he's calmer.

As far as his beliefs in corporations, music industry, artist of today placing themselves amongst artist from Earth's History etc etc... Jay-Z thinks exactly the same as Ye

Difference is he understands perception much more than Ye does at this point. but to put it in perspective

"Operation takeover corporate, makeover office then take over all of it" - Jay-Z

"You said don't go to war unless I got my money behind me
Aight, I got my money right here, now I want war" - Tupac

Basically what Ye is saying in these interviews. Of course theirs bigger problems than clothes price points but he damn sure doesn't seem to have any plan on stopping with just that. This seems to be step 2.

Why does he need their money ? He has enough so why don't he take the leap of faith and go all in if fashion is his true passion?

Another thing I noticed, he said he has to continue to do music cause that's what makes him popular and what will make his clothing line succeed. Most of those fashion designer icons started off as seamstress with sewing machines in the basement lol, so why would they respect kanye and let him in "the inner circle" when they probably feel disrespected that he never put in real ground work other than using his stardom as a selling point?

Because he wants to take a shortcut and doesn't truly believe in his skill.

Outside of his minions, no one will be checking for a Kanye West collection. He's not a great designer, he is just very popular. He seems to have confused these two things.

I honestly retract my statement from earlier. I had a conversation last night (while :smokin) and truly neglected the impact kanye has had in clothing and people's style of dress. I still disagree fully with 'ye and co. being responsible for the popularity of Jordan brand but we all can remember getting Air Jordan VI's for under $200...now :{

And don't get me started on Air Jordan 1's...

But kanye has made 1 huge mistake in underestimating Nike and his product with him. Adidas doesn't/ won't have the same appeal

If you think the Adidas deal will be as popular as the Nike deal you are crazy

Nike is more responsible for the Yeezy popularity than Yeezy is

Stop it.

The whole thing behind the Yeezy is the fact that is Ye's shoe, say whatever you want but thee hype behind the yeezy and how much is worth now has a lot more to do with Kanye than it does with Nike.

Dudes go miles and miles off course to try to justify and act like the **** Ye is talking about actually matters.

And ya go EXTRA miles to prove you don't like the guy and different and that same statement can be thrown at ya, so ya was saying ?

This the **** im talking about too...

All I said was Kanye has lost me cause dudes in outer space talmbout hes a god and hes Michaelangelo/Disney/Jobs etc.

Other side of the coin got people in here breaking down which "high fashion" outlet owes him this and that and attempting to quantify his contributions to popularity of a brand in posts bout as long as thesis papers.

****** is absolutely hilarious bro, we all pretty stupid going on for pages and pages discussing this mans ventures which won't ever put any money in our own pockets or feed our children :rollin

Seems like Kanye just needs his *** whooped. Like a really thorough *** whoopin, like an as whoopin so bad, suing wont give him his dignity back,

I watched the breakfast club interview and what I got from it is Ye has his own vision and way of doing things and he can't completely explain or express what he's trying to do.

I do get that the same way ppl told him not to rap is the same way y'all are telling him to stick to music and not go to fashion or w/e else. I don't get why yall trying to hold him back on that. A lot of yall got that mentality of he's great at one thing so he should just do that one thing. Let him try to be great at other ****.

Of course for the most part he handles it it not in the best way.

Please; if any other shoe company produced this it wouldn't be half as popular

Nike creates lines and chaos for anything that want

bruh the only thing that causes chaos at Nike is super limited editions of lebrons, Kobe's, & maybe some foams... and even then none of those are reaching the prices of yeezy's despite Lebron & Kobe being bigger names worldwide.

but i'm not even gonna enter discussions about what sneaker can and will sell more.

My man tom us more revolutionary than kanye! Dude makes affordable zappatos that everyone rocks and he puts a shoe on an african kid for every shoe you buy...plus he started it all by his damned self

Not all nike sneakers, certain models...so stop it.

Let Ye design a new balance or Asics and promote that **** all through his tour like he did the yeezy and watch it sell just as much and build as much hype and be worth just as much....you are buggin if you truly believe otherwise.

It pains me to think that some of the posters in here are functioning members of society. Like allowed to vote and procreate. Or maybe I'm just an old man at 24 and I "just don't get it".

NT hates Toms tho....been proven.

So wait...people are buying Yeezys just because they're Kanye's shoes? Not because they look good??

So you're saying if the same exact Yeezys came out on Adidas it would of had the same effect?

People really would die for Yeezy in here

That's how a real artist, a real musician is suppose to make you feel though, it's the true power that music holds over you. It's why Pac was soo feared

I don't get what's so funny. I'm not trying to come across all self righteous but the OP from whatever forum that came from is right...... Hell when it comes to bashing Kanye that's all they ever say about the Kardarsians ... Sure the talking heads frame it negatively and every one else bite's the bait, which only fuels the circle jerk on both sides but real recognize real.

Not everyone, but the majority...YES.

How much did the Air Tech challenge sell in comparison to the Yeezy, is the Air Tech worth 1400$ at the moment USED?.
