If you're THAT much of a genius, why do you have to make it a point to say so? I've been around a lot of brilliant people, and their work/craft speaks for themselves. Never once do they have to say how smart they are to try to prove a point. This dude has really lost it.
Bruh i'm gonna assume those brilliant people you been around aren't national superstars that have media and internet people discussing their every move.
We are in a society that is CONTROLLED by media. a large percent of the people in America atleast, can't form an opinion unless they are told what to believe. It's documented that Kanye isn't the most bashful, humble, or media friendly guy. When you act like that the media tends to show you in a bad light (although I agree that he has caused some of those solely off his actions)
With that said him saying that's he's a genius isn't going to harm him in the least bit. I just can't believe people have a problem with him calling himself a genius and comparing himself to people who created great product for the world to obtain. Like he said however when ther's a rapper proclaiming to be the richest *****, most Gangsta, A pimp etc etc nobody looking like man i wish he would shut up.
What bad can come out of somebody seeing Kanye west say he's a genius and aspiring to reach that level of confidence in themselves and their ideas?
Worst case scenario you falsely annoint yourself and you fail miserably but atleast you tried to execute your ideas. I think what's really irking people about these interviews is that society teaches you to withhold your sense of confidence in yourself and hide it in fear of upsetting others. and he's doing the complete opposite.
