Yooo, Kanye on Sway in the Morning. (updated)

You would've defiantly made a couple dollars off me had you grabbed it..  That joint is fire, and Stussy is my preferred brand too.

Just haven't found any heat rock like that out here when it comes to Stussy. I used to clean up on Stussy at the Actives out in SoCal tho.

Props on such a lovely pickup, and that price:smokin

I think you're missing the point. No one said anything about the design. IllPhil was saying that the common denominator is that the shoes are made by NIKE. They could pull the same **** if they made an ultra-exclusive Kendrick Lamar kick. No one is going to be camping out at an Adidas flagship for whatever shoes Kanye is going to be designing. I just don't see it happening. As you know, Nike has pull like none other.

Bro are you oblivious to the fact that dudes are camping over night for a Ronnie Fieg exclusive Pair of Asics?....

You think an Adidas limited Yeezy won't create the same frenzy wether is hypebeasts battling resellers, tents will be set outside of these Adidas stores.

word. I'm a kanye fan and no longer a sneaker fan. With that being said, if shoes are wack, they're sack. Can't change that. I don't care if Kanye signs with Adidas or Avia. If the shoes look dope, why not cop? HOWEVER, Kanye made the Yeezy what they were.

Not really a Kanye fan or anything like that, so I took a chance to watch this interview:

-started out pretty good
-props for calling out Nike about the sole crumbling on the 4's
-interesting about getting conflicting reports on the "Red October" shoe and his comments about Mark Parker
-Sway definitely put him in his place

Never listened to his music or anything, just see pictures that people post on here about him wearing shoes. So, I went into this with no expectations.

-what is the hype behind the Yeezy shoe or any other shoe he wears, for someone who is out of the loop?

Coming from an ex "sneakerhead" back when I first heard about the Yeezy I didn't even know Kanye designed. I saw the shoe in pictures from the GITD tour the Keri Hilson video and other places etc. The minute I saw them I instantly fell in love. The Yeezy 1 will forever be my all time favorite sneaker. The first pair (Correct me if I'm wrong) was the zen gray and people in my area camped out for a total of like 8 hours or so. By the time the Blinks dropped people were in line a week before release. A WEEK. What shoe up to that date had caused people to camp out that long.

All in all, I would have to say the success of the Yeezy is just supply and demand. Very little supply and lots of demand for a shoe which had never been seen at the time. Right after release they were selling for 600-700 on ebay. When people realized how rare they were and the stock started drying up, and everybody became a "sneakerhead" prices SKYROCKETED to over 1500. Prolly hitting 2500 by now.

Say what you want to say about Ye, but he designed the Yeezy, the shoe that changed a lot of things.

What exactly did the Yeezy change? No snark I'm legitatmately curious you can see I'm not up on these things.

I always assume the people really in to Kanye are young, because when you get older you see through his contradictory bull. He's just expressing his insecurities and lack of self esteem.

Puff is worth how much? Does he try to get accepted? Does he worry what people think? He's built himself in to a brand.

Kanye is trying to be accepted by who(m)? To accomplish what?

As if money will make people love him. First he longed for fame, that didn't work. Now it's money. Money doesn't bring happiness. Because he just had a kid and seems to be the most miserable man on earth.

I can see that being appealing to teenagers, because that's the definition of being a teenager, wanting to be accepted. He's a mid 30's man child. Adults get angry of course, kids throw tantrums.

Kanye really did pop off on sway.. Wow! I'm a fan of both but that was uncalled for lol

Kanye's latest album was critically acclaimed, and yet he seems even better at being famous.

His yeezy shoe was very well designed, and I liked the 2nd ones even more, I wouldn't pay more than 200 for them, but they are nice shoes IMO.

I have yet to realize what his obsession is with the fashion industry. Isn't making collabs and getting paid millions of dollars enough to him? Apparently not. I'm not one to hate, but if Marc Ecko and numerous other individuals have built conglomerates in the fashion world, why can't a wealthy black man like ye do it.

Ye changed the rap game, and the yeezy's were hot. But his clothing line - pastel ect.... has been underwhelming from what I've seen.

You never been to a concert before? Most fans of artist share a similar look or dress similar to that artist cause they are fans. What is wrong with that? Like did somebody fart in your cereal? Why so bitter?
