Had to google this dude. Ambiguous as hell, outside of his appearance do you know how he identifies? He might be black(by my standards)...but he has compromised his masculinity so much that it doesn't even matter. He is exactly the type of 'man' (black in particular) that they'd pick for such a position, if they were to pick one at all.

You do know that most designers at high end fashion boutiques are soft right.. Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Ricardo Tissi etc.. "him compromising his masculinity" has nothing do with anythings. He's a black dude at a top fashion house. Son is half African and half French and in his mid 20's doing it.

Most def, I'm well aware. You have to 'fit in to get in' - so to speak, understandable. I laud the dude for his achievements, I'm sure he worked hard.
The point I speak to primarily deals with assimilation and conformity. I don't know dude, but I'm sure he and many others -regardless of race- have studied these high end fashion designers and noticed a pattern. A pattern he may or may not have followed - I can only guess. A pattern that you also noticed and directed to my attention. It's human nature to conform, especially to conform within the images of what you deem to be successful. And once you've conformed you will be allowed to assimilate. The pattern speaks for itself in all walks of life and is very natural. The problem and contention presents itself when one conforms to the 'unnatural' to be accepted and thus...assimilated...which cancels out any real true identity.

Just saw the full interview on Youtube, this guy Kanye just trolled me for 30 min. Sway asked him a straightforward question like why aint Big Sean or Pusha on your tour, and he goes on about absolutely nothing for 6 minutes. I found myself feeling confused, amused and angry at the same time. Had me looking like
