2011 College Football "The Real been hacked!!!!" .

Jville, it was UNC youre right.

Rajion Neal is moving around. hes being used like Reggie bush in NO. fastest kid on the team and Dooley has him working with WRs

part of the reason for the move is how solid Marlin Lane and Tom Smith have looked at RB.

1st scrimmage right now.

Chris Level from the Tech Rivals site on ESPN/Texas trying to bully Texas Tech...
"Talked to a higher up at Suddenlink here in West Texas about the LHN. No deal yet and ESPN not being very reasonable with their demands.

A source at Suddenlink told me, "with ESPN being the ones negotiating for Longhorn Network, they're being about as reasonable as NFL was."

Among other things, ESPN also discussed putting together a home/home w/ a BCS level school if #TexasTech agreed to play UT on their network.

The four to five million dollar payout that was being discussed was going to be paid out over time if #TexasTech had agreed to it.

ESPN indicated to TT that they might not televise the UT/TT game unless it was on LHN."

Heavy whispers now that they're talking to the Pac 10 already setting up a backup plan...

This whole thing is so transparent it's ridiculous. Texas never intended on staying in this conference, they just didn't want to be the ones that cut its throat... Independence and their own athletic network with all their football games is so clearly the end game here, and now they can use ESPN to push people around and have the built in "We don't control anything over there" excuse built in and watch A&M or Tech or whoever come out of this ordeal with the blood on their hands...

It's smart, because it's well within their means and they can make their own money without having to carry the dead weight of the conference. But they're trying to hide behind nonsense when it's clear to everybody else what they want to do.

The boys got some new pants. Gonna miss the classic look.
You do know those are just practice pants.

D-Bax is going to start, doubt Tyler gets his spot back, he will be "Wally Pipp'ed".

DJ Morgan is making huge strides.  Carlisle is making noise but I think CLK is going with Bax-DJ combo.

OLine is having some issues out there, need some time to gel.

***Edit***

Regarding the "Big XII", all those schools knew what they were getting in bed with, and they chose to get in bed with Texas despite knowing that Texas had it's own plans of grandeur.

One of the reasons the "Pac 16" fell apart was that Texas wanted the Longhorn Network and Larry Scott wasn't having it.  One of the stipulations being that no school would have it's own stand alone network, it would be the Pac 16 Network.  Texas started balking and convinced the other schools to keep the "Big XII" together.

aTm is going to go to the SEC, but that is going to 'cause a big ripple effect since the SEC cannot and will not stay at 13 teams.  OU, OSU, TTech will probably jump to the Pac 12 with another team pending to round it out to 16, which was Larry Scott's goal all along.  Although the coup had Texas in mind, Texas wanted it's cake and it too and that is not going to happen.

Good bye "Big XII"

USC guys, hows Dillon Baxter looking?
Looking good so far.  Just posted 12 carries 103 yards and 2 TDs in first scrimmage.
Bout to be a log-jam at RB with Tyler, DJ Morgan, Baxter, Curtis McNeal, and now Amir Carlisle
In the vid I posted on the last page CLK said he really wouldn't mind starting Amir now.
Yeah, the way he's gushing about Carlisle reminds me of the way he talked about Woody last year.  Far as I'm concerned, when CLK raved about Amir's blocking ability after 1st practice, definitely foreshadowing that he's going to get a lot of carries this season.

If Texas, ESPN, and the Longhorn Network were working along those same guidelines that they laid out to get everyone else in bed with them, then none of the backlash would really exist right now.

TAMU and the rest of the Big 12 didn't originally agree to the Longhorn Network airing high school football games showcasing Texas recruits and targets. They also didn't originally agree to allowing a conference game to be aired, though this was later amended to be allowable under the stipulation that all parties agree to the game being aired.

What Texas and ESPN originally wanted, and what Texas and ESPN now want are two completely different packages. It's not surprising what's going on given the fact that there were pretty much zero carriers interested in the original Longhorn Network.

At least make it believable, offensive lineman (even glorified ones) can't be playmakers.
We shall see.

SEC wouldnt be stuck on 13 teams, Slive says he has had ample opportunity to make it a 16 team in the past but the SEC has turned teams down.

A&M to the SEC most likely wont go thru this year. maybe not even next ...

We're going to end up riding out this Big 12 thing until somebody else does something to make it fall apart. There are far too many outside factors keeping TAMU from being the first to split.

Yea I read a few places Mike Slive doesn't want to be the lynchpin that sets off mass realignment, they're waiting on Jim Delaney pull that trigger.

Texas may be forced into independence which is why they're probably getting all these insurances from ESPN. Seems like even big money won't be able to keep the conference together.

Money won't matter of Texas is using ESPN to strong arm teams into playing their games on the LHN.
