It's definitely not "f****ed," they just need to keep an eye to make sure the infection doesn't return. New bone/tissue will grow in the spots where the screws were. Something as simple as a cold virus could trigger an infection. It's not that serious going forward. 6-7 months off is plenty.

Yeah the surgery wasnt even to really fix anything other than take some screws out that were originally there. Not like they were repairing an ACL or trimming/repairing a meniscus. His knee will be fine.

You’re talking about “impact” as if the defense from Kidd Matrix and Tyson on Kobe, LeBron, Bosh, Russ, & KD was not just as impactful as any bucket Dirk scored.

We saw Hakeem in ‘94 lead his team in points boards assists steals and blocks, focal point defensively while winning a chip. ‘03 Duncan, same thing. THAT is a gap.
