Eh. They spoke of Bret as if he just got old and could not do the things he used to do in his prime. His career ended early due to something out of his control. Then you watch your contemporaries and rivals reinvent themselves as they got older, that’s a tough pill to swallow. Shawn, Taker, Sting wrestling into their 40s while you don’t have control of all your motor functions.

From what EYE memba about his New Japanese work he was still quite green and a bit uncoordinated.

Has he improved?

Better than he was. Still needs work.

Charisma isn't his strong suit but in NJPW he was more of the stoic big man type since he was way bigger than everyone.

I mean it’s just an evolution. This is what we kinda expect from this weight category men and women. At least i do. High flying, cirque du soleil acrobatics mixed with power moves?

I mean this the offensive side of selling a move. Yeah if it’s overused it won’t be as wow but i wint hate on it.

Ain't a damn thing evolutionary about doing a pointless flip before doing a clothesline. If anything that's intellectually regressive.
