After a successful rollout of his latest album 4:44, Jay-Z did the typical musician thing and decided to take his show out on the road. It made sense, with a No. 1 album and a ton of support on social media and elsewhere, so Jay announced the 4:44 tour to much fanfare. Except, those plans appear to have hit a snag as, by all accounts, the tour appears to be struggling to sell tickets both official and on the secondary market.

When he kicked off the tour last week, scores of screenshots began surfacing of tickets for the tour’s opening show in Anaheim going for dirt cheap on secondary markets like StubHub and SeatGeek, some as low as $6. That’s not so abnormal though, as fans are always selling their tickets last second, hoping to just get something rather than lose all of their money because they can’t attend a show or a game.

What is alarming though, is the fact that so many seats are still available to purchase through normal means like the box office or Ticketmasters. For instance, Friday night’s show in Phoenix has seats available through Ticketmasters in nearly every section of the arena for face value. The story is the same for Sunday’s show in Denver as well, with floor seats going for as low as $69 through the official ticketing agency for the show, Altitude Sports.

It’s unclear why the 4:44 tour is struggling at the box office or in the secondary market, but in a sense it’s good news for fans still unsure if they want to go to the show or who have to wait to purchase tickets. But with the massive deal Jay has with Live Nation for his touring, this won’t exactly be music to their ears

Look at those venues though.

Pretty sure all of the tristate and other urban populated spots are sold out.

Tix for the Philly show are in the low 40s. Seats aint bad either. Its more understandable tho since Jay just performed out here like 2 months ago

I was gonna buy them the week they dropped but they made them a pain to obtain with the bs of having to go through Tidal. Then I saw the prices for decent seats and said this dude is tripping. When I saw him at the Hollywood Bowl and Mary J Blige opened for him and he had a huge band, I paid far less and had decent seats.

None of the songs on the album are concert worthy joints.

Fire album, but too contemplative for your typical concert turn up.

Have a spliff in ya hand while listening to Story of OJ reevaluating what you're doing with your life

Nas lost

I just entered to win tix in Houston. if no one else wants to go, hopefully I'll win them.
with that said, I agree, this isn't a 'concert vibe' album. he'll have cats on credit karma trying to improve their future.

Cheapest seats I've been seeing for the D.C. show are $25. I'm waiting on the week of to try and get some main concourse seats for the low.

Album isn't getting a response from the young crowd.

What 30 year old and older man hasn't seen Jay a couple times already or at least once.

Ticket prices are high as hell, it's cool to say you're a huge Jay fan and blah blah but not when it comes to putting your money where your mouth is.

I can't name a single memorable song/verse from him in the past decade.

I idolized Jay-Z as a youngin' but the last Hov line I can quote is "And I wiiiish I neeever met her at all"

I was done with him after the first Blueprint. But I still bump any of his previous albums before that, from time to time. I just don't like post-Beyonce Jay-Z.
