Damb son you need a history lesson. The main theory is that indigenous Taiwanese is where all Austronesian peoples originated (southeast asians and pacific islanders) This is all evident in the language, pretty much all austronesians count the same and have similar words. Lima is five, mata is eye, langit is sky etc... People in Madagascar are Austronesian too. What you have to separate is the mainland southeast asians (thai, viet, cambodia) from the islander southeast asians (malaysia, indonesia, philippines) as the former are east asian influenced.

The population right now is mostly descendants of people who migrated from Southern China in the 1600s/1700s. A lot came over for labor during Dutch rule.

Indigenous people are very small in population, probably like less than 5% of the population.. Also a lot of SEA people right now, most notably Indonesia and Vietnam.

Was under Japanese rule too, but don't think you'll find many people that have any sort of Japanese blood. My grandmother does speak a little Japanese though.
Are there any stats on what percentage of Taiwan’s population is made up of immigration of Mainland Chinese after the defeat of the KMT?

I was always under the impression that they had now made up a majority of the population.

I don't know the Philippines history very well but I think they have been under rule by Japan, China and Spain, and America at different points in history. So filipinos can look wild different from each other unless you are just used to them

I've seen Mexicans and other Latinos go to my dad speaking Spanish thinking he's like them.

I don't believe my mother looks Korean but one Korean really believed she was Korean.

I've had ppl come to me speaking Spanish and Chinese. But I don't really think I look like either.

My sister is the most racially ambiguous looking as far as looks. I joke all the time that she's adopted.

I had this pic ready to go

I have other candidates if I ever want to make the switch to a kpop avy though 😈
I'm not sure how this would look shrunk to avy size.

You would not believe how long I spent on finding the perfect Lisa avy. Lol

Also I call dibs on Chungha and IU and Rose and Somi

We are approximately 10 percent of the total population. Roughly 2 million solders and civilians escaped to ROC after civil war defeat. Taiwan is over 95% Han Chinese (Hoklo, Hakka, “Mainland” Waishengren). 2.3% are Taiwanese aborigines.

Here is a good news article that shows the different generations reflection on self identity:
