yes for sure.

got my mita's in today finally. overall great shoe and they did a good job on it. i love the zipper but with they would have just put it on a regular tongue and not had the flap on it. also wish the toe box suede was as nice as the 25th anni pair. and the rear white portion is A1 materials wise but give on the vibe that if look at them wrong they will incur staining. wish the white portion was regular leather to resist dirt better. imo this shoe shows asics can still make a decent gl3 if they choose too although they still have more work to get the shape back to pre 25th anni shape.

also anyone else notice the smell of these? they smell like a hospital. super strong, soon as i opened the box i could smell it.

Yeah the mita is nice in hand, quality is nice, I just wish the toebox wasn’t as boxy

I'm aware that there was a retro in 2017, but it's not a good enough retro imo, doesn't really look 1:1. I have some 90s vintage air maxes, and I'm very picky with retros lol. Really love the og mesh and silhouette.


I also like the Gel-lyte II model, but absolutely dislike the III because of the tongue...Anyone would know where I could get OG models? searched ebay and found nothing...

Your gonna have to check Instagram for some collectors who still have these og models and keep checking eBay although it’s rare occasional they pop up. Should be the best place to get some track of them

You're right, just saw the tag on the Solebox site. Did a little digging around, seems like some places are labeling it as SAKURA, and some as Kobe Beef. Not a collab as Zlatan mentioned.

Damn, I really wonder what is up with the high retail on these...$240 is crazy for an Asics IMO, especially since we established they're not MIJ.

Edit. All the sneaker news sites are saying it's a "premium leather"...one article from Sneaker Freaker made it sound like they might be veg-tan leather, which could possibly justify the price tag if true. If anyone has any info please let us know!
