^^^^Say that to the non-NTers that live in Cali. This is not a feud that started here but something that has been going on for ages. You have Bay people that hate LA and LA people that hate the Bay. No difference then people in New York and people in Boston. We might not be that far away but it really is two different worlds.

I did the opposite of what you did by moving to the Chi. I'm settling down so I appreciate the midwest sensibilities. Plus I didn't take my car and we drive once a week because public transportation is infinitely better here.
Those are some of the reasons why I'd settle in NorCal if/when I move back.

You have a mix of everything in both areas. It's just a matter of personal opinion based on the experiences with people from that region and visits to those areas.
Although, the question is somewhat broad. "NorCal" / "SoCal" represent a huge area. There are differences between LA and SD.. and then LA and OC...and SD and it's surrounding suburbs. There's also many factors that go into answering your question. Weather, Housing, Social Atmosphere, Schools, Job Opportunities, etc. etc..

wow!!!!!!! so you think people would want to visit Compton, Watts, San Bernardino or South Central? No offense to my NT people that stay down there. But just like Oakland, these towns are just the same. Pros and cons about any city. Don't even try to go there fam.
