Truth. If you watched any of Davidson's games, you'd realize it was Stephen Curry playing with four scrubs at all times. He had to doeverything. He had to take on such a load scoring all the points for their team that it probably took a lot out of him on the other end of the floor.Originally Posted by GSDOUBLEU
Curry had to take those shots in college because no one else on the team would. He was a pretty good late game shooter. Also Curry is quicker, smarter, better ball handler than Redick. Im not saying Curry will be great in the NBA, if you guys re-call, i was saying i did not want Curry on this team, and i still sort of dont, but he's better than redick by a lotOriginally Posted by JapanAir21
I don't think Curry's passing will translate well to the NBA, scouting reports are much more thorough in the NBA, it might work for a while, but he'd get locked down eventually IMO.
I'm not saying that I wouldn't take Amare if you couldn't find a PG who could distribute, hell I bet Speedy could hold his own feeding Amare the ball, he's no Nash, but still, better than nothing I suppose.
Curry, IMO, is a glorified JJ Redick, and I love JJ as an NBA player, he's grown leaps and bounds as a player, but Curry has some work to do, including bulking up, and playing some D. Plus his shot selection wasin College. If you remember watching him he'd nail some crazy shots, but he'd be taking the stupidest ones too.
I said he could feed Amare.Originally Posted by daprescription

That's why you don't hold him near and dear to your heart and you ship his @!$ to Phoenix..Originally Posted by daprescription
Maybe that's the reason Curry isn't a starter smart guy.
well Buike's most likely gonna be a playing 3 or 4 coming off the bench. and wouldn't mind to see some competition between Curry and Lawfor the back up spot.Originally Posted by GSDOUBLEU
Also, he have a @%!* load of guards and not enough mintutes: Ellis, Morrow, Belinelli, Buike, Curry, Law. Somone has got to go

That's where the Warriors should be looking for trades. The SG/SF spot. And if they can, I'd prefer they look for Jackson and Maggettetrades first. Then they can use Belinelli, Azubuike, and even Wright as small incentive (they may have value to us because of upside, but it won't be asbig as most other teams since they don't play as much except for Azubuike). So I'm not sure what they could fetch, but I'd be down with anexpiring. Just look at the Warriors needs, and had they not signed Jack to an extension and signed Maggette they would have enough money to get a solid guythis season that they could actually use and have Jack's expiring.Originally Posted by GSDOUBLEU

The problem is that a lot of people/fans want to see (enter favorite young bench player) play, but Nellys all about match-ups and is looks like the roster is built towards it. He has a lot of quality interchangeable players for certain match-ups. If we do keep the young talent on this team and let them grow together, we can become one of the deepest teams in the L for years to come.
The Warriors got rid of Crawford and acquired Speedy Claxton and Acie Law the day before the draft.Originally Posted by acidicality
hahaha, just got back from orientation for the internship thing. it was surprisingly fun even tho they only spoke chinese there, so i didn't really understand %!*@, but some people in my group were cool, kinda drank a bit and got buzzed....should be a fun internship since i got to know a few ppl working with me.
but on the warriors...heard we got rid of crawford and got curry in the draft from surfing with the blackberry...what were all the moves the warriors made during draft day? can someone fill me in?i've been gone for a whole week.
Having Morrow start is probably worse than having Curry start with Monta.Originally Posted by bigtimejerky

The day of the draft, the Warriors selected Curry with the #7 pick and were in serious talks with the Suns about Amar'e Stoudemire. The deal consisted of Amar'e for Andris Biedrins + Brandan Wright + Belinelli. The Suns wanted Curry as part of the deal but the Warriors were hesitant to add Curry in the deal. Now the Warriors are acting like they wanted Curry this whole time. Then the talks started to die and well, the deal is off the table as of now.
Curry took his media pics with the Warriors. It appears his jersey number will be 30. Also according to reports, Nelson told Curry that he can unpack his bags and look for a house. Nelson told him that he's going nowhere. So I guess this is either posturing from Nelson to get more out the Suns if they want Curry in the deal or this could mean that Curry will be a part of the Golden State Warriors next season.
That's about all you missed.
"(Ellis) should be happy that he's got a sidekick that's very good," Nelson said. "I think he's going to be able to play right away. I'll be surprised if he doesn't."
so who knows
