Og > 04 > 22 > 12

On another note, this one of the very few pairs I'll buy with a white outsole. 9/10 times that's a deal breaker, but this have too much nostalgic significance to ever pass up.

Same. White outsoles are cheeks but these are top five dead or alive.

Shape, quality, etc. I don't remember the comfort of the OGs, but they're better in essentially every way. 04s were great tho.

Granted, I didn’t end up keeping my ‘12 playoffs or taxi’s because they just ran too big so ended up selling. But it’s interesting hearing all the talk about the white outsoles on the playoffs. Whereas I see the playoffs as basically an all black shoe and taxis as being too white and hard to keep clean. Guess I’ll see what it’s all about. Been waiting a while to finally get another pair of playoffs.

called around to see if my size was available and it pretty much wasn't, I'm a size 9 but get a 9.5 because my feet are flat. These actually are fire, though. If they don't restock, I'm cool on them, but if they do, I'll cop.

My OG Taxi's outlasted my 03 or 04 (whatever it was) Flu games. Hell, my OG Taxis outlasted those black and blue suede joints. Don't even remember what year those were. Those early retros were more comfy, no doubt...

These are the only 12s I have currently. If it wasn't for the gold jumpman tab, I might have considered keeping royalties. Also, the playoff shape is more looking compared to flu games and french blues.

That was the one time the retro ever improved on the OG. OG 12's were tanks, but those 04's had such bouncy responsive zoom, it was insane.

Honestly, its a damn shame that all retros aren't better than the OGs. They keep charging more but making them cheaper even though better technology is better (not that 12s really need them).

I joke with my friend all the time how I wish I never sold him mine.

As someone who owned both OG 12’s and 04’ retros I can say both were great, but in different ways. In terms of durability and leather quality, you cannot beat the 97’s. But for comfort, the 04’ takes it hands down.

I wore my new playoffs out tonight, they feel pretty good; some where between the OG and 04’s.

Yeah, both came in that box.

Not sure we’re talking about the same thing. All I meant was, the OG 12s came in the brown box with a swoosh on the lid, not a Jumpman on the lid. I wasn’t talking about any retros. Face box came years after the OG 12s.

Actually I’ll probably only buy one, if and when they ever return. It won’t be anywhere near a potential daily-wear shoe for me, and the red sole doesn’t yellow. I’m trying to knock off my multiple nonsense unless it’s a shoe I can see myself making a daily wear for months at a time.

I’ve never once seen a Jordan retro at my local Foot Locker.

…at least not in the last 3 years or so.

Just to echo the sentiment, OG >>>> ‘04 in every way except for cushioning, the ‘04 for sure had a much softer midsole.
