Florida School Shooting, Over 20 Casualties

You inquire with the right people and its real easy. Its not all that different than scoring drugs, inquire and if the person you asking doesnt feel like you a cop or a set up or nothing like that, its mad easy man.

you damb right!! one of mans use run guns from north Carolina to new york city back in the 90's with his taho truck. He left that life, but if you know the right people its not that hard especially if you fallen down the wrong path or went to the dark side.

Exactly. At what point do we want our schools to start hiring armed security? Anybody at anytime can go to a school knowing full well it's a gun free zone and can easily massacre dozens of people in minutes with a semi-auto rifle. Now it's a matter of how can we defend ourselves against someone with a gun? Laws, metal detectors, and even 6'5 300lb security can't stop bullets.

the majority of houston schools has their own police force ...is this just a houston thing or does majority of cities have school police...?

problem is they are doing stuff like this...

"Dallas school police tased a 7 year old, and then body slammed a 12 year old the next day"

NYPD has its own School safety police force as well, but anyone knows the NYPD Isn't the safest or smartest out of the bunch to always keep schools safe all the. I think they carry guns but im not to sure.

I am a staunch gun advocate but something has to change ... enough is enough ... We are a smart species, we can adapt and figure this out ...

I am just doing some quick math here but let's break this down a bit ...

150,000 schools nationwide
2 police officers per school, on average
$60K salary, on average
= $18B per year

I would gladly pay a few cent tax to preserve my right to bear arms and have safer schools through a visible police presence ... This coupled with comprehensive mental health exams and integration of mental health requirements for purchasing of weapons would go a long way, in my opinion ...

Exactly my ****ing point from the first post I replied with ...

**** this America

Although I understand her pain, this is another narrative that needs to stop. Just because you ban firearms it won't prevent this from happening again. How about, it will make it difficult for it to happen again. Sometimes you can't speak in absolutes, it nullifies someone's argument.
20 years.

Australia hasn't had a mass shooting in that many years after they banned firearms following a bloody school shooting.

No, I don't see how it nullifies her argument, and yes, it will make it so difficult that we won't have people talk about "getting shot at school is the new normal."

How many guns were already in circulation when that ban was put in place though?

:rolleyes Canadians

Sounds like a lot of people want to live in North Korea.

Gun ownership is not the issue, it's the straw man holding this country back from any progression.

It's infuriating.

What is this trash post?

How is gun ownership not an issue when many of these mass shootings happen due to lunatics being able to legally purchase guns with minimal/ non existent background checks?

Not wanting that to be possible=wanting to live in North Korea?

People like you are always "infuriated" with that point until someone they know and love is one of the victims.

I'm admittedly desensitized to alot of these events, so I'm only just now really deep diving into this. I hadn't known much besides the fact that it was a school shooting in Florida.

That said...is there any credible evidence that suggests there may have been some politicized motive behind this? I've yet to comes across anything. In this thread, I've seen several posts that mention "white supremacy"...I hop on Twitter and do a basic search and see a bunch of "Antifa-backed communist...the left did it!" psychobabble.

Is there anything really there or is this yet another instance of people reaching to apply whatever political motive they see fit to another mass shooting?

On the surface it seems like he just wanted to mess up the school he was expelled from. At least this trash is alive to give a motive.

Nash why Americans need guns.

That's right down the ally of the loons who want guns banned.

I'm all for strict gun laws.

But people are really want guns taken out of the hands of citizens and left in the hands of a governent body.

Man it all feels like a program to me.
Like a simulated experience. Reanimated.

-Bringing up Mulford Act and suggesting every minority that can carry should carry.
-Gathering for protests.

-thought provoking Threads and summits Etc etc etc

As much as things change they stay the same.
Are we running in circles?

Should those with the platform to make a difference and invoke change do so?
Should the youth be enblazened with a passionate sense of self worth, and fight for their own, as well Future generation's rights?

Everyone should want to leave the World a Better place than they found it, right?

As much as things change they stay the same.
I have a hard time believing that people genuinely want change.
I think everyone likes to talk about it though.
Seems like I've lived this day several times over, and will again.

Minds are F'ed

We both know history repeats itself continuously. Change is hard when the culture of America is the way it is. When we embrace humanity as a country we can probably get somewhere. Various programming methods and propaganda keep these cycles going.

Real change will come with a cultural and leadership shift. An American enlightenment period kinda.
