Background checks and evals on households and criminal liability for parents who allow access to their firearms might be an okay start.

Man, we have strict laws up here. They actually interview your neighbors, spouse, ex spouse to see what kinda person you are and if you have mental issues or violent tendencies.


But i can get you a tool right now, no problem. All that **** wont stop someone whos really set on getting a strap and doing damage.

Just imagine how great it would be if schools and American citizens were treated with the same care as professional sporting events. Multiple security points, don't even think about bringing in a weapon. Try to run on the floor/field to touch a player and you'll be apprehended quickly. In the event of a questionable occurrence, such as a shooting, you'd have multiple high resolution cameras exploring every possible angle, not just a blurry dash cam or body cam they forgot to turn on. The accountability disparity is pathetic.

That is intentional in white supremacist ideology. They will proclaim they need to preserve their race, but then go out and slaughter a bunch of white people. 1) because they can't get close to a bunch of black people, they will get stomped out on-sight. 2) sending a message, So they'll go and kill a bunch of white sacrifices to send a message to other non raicst white people that if they want to live, get on board with white supremacy.

That argument always cracks me up. For decades Americans have been force fed the lie that they are better off than everyone else. How they are the only ones who are free - when in reality you’ve got so many laws restricting what you can do and where you can go that it’s crazy.

A trite example of that is if you buy a stick shift truck - in my car I can turn the key and the engine starts. In my father in laws truck it has to be in neutral with my foot on the brake - and even then if I get the combo wrong it will flood.

People getting shot on a daily basis is the peak of all those little freedoms the US puts up with every day and it’s a tragedy that people don’t care about others enough to want to do something about it.

Freedom only matters when it’s not your rights being oppressed I guess.

Exactly. At what point do we want our schools to start hiring armed security? Anybody at anytime can go to a school knowing full well it's a gun free zone and can easily massacre dozens of people in minutes with a semi-auto rifle. Now it's a matter of how can we defend ourselves against someone with a gun? Laws, metal detectors, and even 6'5 300lb security can't stop bullets.

When people kill (or commit crime in general) they tend not to stray too far from what they know. That's just criminology 101. People typically do their dirt in comfortable surroundings.

The Pulse Nightclub shooter went to the club leading up to the shooting.
The Columbine shooters went to the school.
Cho went to Virginia Tech.
The Vegas shooter had free rein at Mandalay Bay.
The San Bernardino shooters were employees.
The Washington Navy Yard shooter was an employee.
