If you can find one for cheap, buy it.
Whenever I season anything (with multiple seasonings), I put the seasonings in there and mix them up, before applying to my uncooked food. Really does a job of blending up seasonings.

I put it on quite a large number of things myself. One of my favorite things to put hot sauce on that seems to surprise people is corn-on-the-cob. Tapatillo or Cholula. Goes perfectly with the sweet flavor of corn.
