I mean you can probably deep fry them, but I didn't need to. Any recipe you find online most likely wont tell you to deep fry it.

A fryer basket helps cause you need drain out the excess oil that retains. Just like deep frying french fries you gotta drain out the oil and let stand in air for a few minute.fryer basket????

My roommate in college did it this way.
A little thicker tho
Brown one side and then flip and brown the other.
He was Nigerian but I don't know if that's a Nigerian thing.
He put me on to fried plantains.

No from google, but I have a pic of some I fried a long time ago and they came out brown like that without deep fry. It's not necessary imo but I'm sure it's done

I probably used a cup of oil, two at max. It was to the point where the plaintains weren't completely submerged in oil and I had to flip them.

Idk if that’ll have an affect on the final product or not aside from them being bigger portions if you stick to the diagonal slice.

looks like u had a lot of oil still in them
u know how if ur oil isnt hot enough
it kinda soaks into whatever ur cooking
