FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I've heard that before, people doing that with subway and chipotle back in the day while stacking. Nowadays that's about $20 though so it's almost pointless.

My pushback is there was never a time in HIS history of having his own money where he could have gotten drink, chips, cookie, 6 in (#) for $3.

Yea he is lying out the side of his teeth.

You def could in the 90s which is the era i'm assuming he's talking about. Give or take a dollar or two, sure, but you could. Especially a sale.

I assume he was talking about the 25 cent chip bags from back in the day and stuff like that. Quarter waters etc
Stuff you can actually survive off before turning 20
In the south in the early 2000s I could see it

Yea I could see that if he made the trip to the corner store for the water/chips but buying everything from Subway and only spending $2 nah. No chance.

Yea the Papa John's version was good.

Haven't found many other versions I've cared about.

I remember Pizza Huts just being ok.
Crusts like that are something I’ve always wanted to try but never had the opportunity / thought of it when ordering from places that offer it.

Dinner earlier at Diwan in Hicksville, NY for my brother's birthday. For apps samosa chaat, aloo tikki chaat & mixed grill. Main course I had the Chicken Badam Korma which is almonds/poppy seeds/chironji nut. The badam(almond) flavor was soo damn good with the chicken.

Badam in my cultures food is usually a flavor reserved for dessert & sweets never have I had it with chicken, it worked so well together. One of the best Indian dishes I've had in a long time. Highly recommend it. We also got palak paneer, Okra, paneer makhni & mixed naan.

Dessert was kheer & gulab jamun 🤤. We ordered so much they had to wheel it out to us  .
