Philly run earlier today for cheesesteaks & chicken maroosh sandwiches. This is from Saad's Halal Restaurant on Walnut St, Philadelphia,PA.
They make the best Phillys & maroosh here. I try to drive out at least once a year. I usually don't get the cheesesteaks with toppings but went with lettuce, tomatoes & peppers today. It didn't really enhance the sandwich like I thought it would, lol, but w.e.

As a Californian, I do get jealous of you East Coasters being able to hop a train and get to another major city in like an hour or less. That’s pretty cool.
Hopping a train from LA to say, Bakersfield, doesn’t have quite the same cache as being able to go from NYC to Philly or DC or vice versa.

Read about these donut spots in an article recently so checked em out earlier today. First spot I hit was Fan Fan Donuts in Brooklyn, NY & the 2nd spot is Peter Pan Bakery also in Brooklyn.
Haven't had any yet but they look delicious. Then I was off to the Bronx to see the Bartow-Pell Mansion so bonus pics of that. What a Funday Sunday it was.

Peter Pan is a staple. I’ve had their donuts since I moved to the US in the early 90s and grew up in Greenpoint. Place is a NY institution.
