I gave this like 5 spins before it grew on me, because i still listen to Philadelphia Freeway religiously, and the follow up just wasn't cutting it. Butafter i let it soak in, it's a damn good album. I'll show support and cop it this weekend. Early!!!

I'm sorry but MASTERPIECES dog?

I've been listening to this cd since it first "released".....and like I said, he spits some real introspective lyrics when discussing the ROC breakup but IMO thats about it.

Like my favorite cut "When We Remember"....he spits lines like:

Coming for the title, take the best rapper hang em from his feet and dry em
Iron Sheik clothesline em
was on the iron bus, now I'm on the iron bird
flying
don't try em cause I'm rhymin with an iron beak
if you looking for competition I am he...

He's just rhyming words there...not really saying anything.
Sure he's original, but IMO there's only so much of dude I can take....I'd still rather listen to his instrumental album over one with his vocals anyday

i'm likin the soulful sound so far...it doesnt have the allure of What we Do or All My Life but it's a great listen so far...i wish him and don Cannondid more tracks for the album
