Agree. I can see how the concept is easier said than done, at least to do well.

Has to make narrative sense within the world GRRM has created.

Probably don’t want to veer to far from the original in terms of tone and approach, with plot twists, good guys dying, etc.

Can’t just be about fanservicing Team Snow.

Very proud of them for abandoning the show. They could've rolled out nonsense and made a ton of money but they did it for the fans. I also don't want any show that doesn't have book material to draw from. We saw that in the latter stages of the OG series and we can all probably agree that the ending of the show was terrible.

That’s definitely the right call. With the Wildlings pretty much back to their own way of life and the White Walkers gone, I’m not sure what there is to really see from a Jon Snow spin off. Mans should’ve taken his place on the thrown and called it a day.

in regards to got, hbo has to retcon anything past the final fight with the night king. to the point where they say anything past that episode is no longer cannon. its the only option i see where they can create new spin offs or shows past that episode. if not, fans will always hold up a mirror to that plane crash ending and never buy into a future story line. theres no fixing the story forward without hbo removing those episodes from the series. if not, most projects will be in a past timeline.

Honestly, they should start with Jon waking up after smashing Danerys on that boat and we all realize everything from that scene in the og series was just a dream. I mean, Twilight did the same thing by having a whole *** battle that ended up just being a damn vision
