Proximity to DSL ISP modem.

Before you actually pay for the service, you need to call you're internet provider and ask them how close the neighborhood IPS modem is to you. The fartherthe distance, the longer the transmission delay is. If you're paying for the top tier DSL and you live miles upon miles away from the closest ISP modem,then you're getting ripped off.
