I still don’t think adidas will deal with Kanye and it’s probably just a rumor.
However, If the rumor is true then Kanye must really have some sort of ....
.....because I don’t know how he managed to have Adidas cave in. Sure, Adidas stands to lose lots of money but they could minimize it by removing any remaining Kanye branding on the shoes and sell them to far away markets. Best I could figure.

It's one thing to get replacement packaging for a size run. It's another thing to do it for multiple warehouses.
You're talking about getting:
- new boxes
- wrapping paper
- labels
- accessories
- labor costs for rework
- equipment costs
- production delays (for all the stuff they need to deliver in 2023/2024)
Add these expenses to all the money already spent in promoting, producing, and now warehousing Yeezy products, and you can imagine how much money a clean break would cost them.
From a money perspective, the bean counters have probably calculated that getting Kanye's agreement to sell the rest of the existing stock as-is would be less expensive (mainly PR damage control) than doing all the above, messing up their manufacturing/distribution schedule, and making the stakeholders they really care about unhappy.
It's true.
At the same time, Adidas is a public company, and the rules they operate by are not the same as a company like New Balance. Very few shareholders would agree to turn all that merch into smoke.

The rumors are stan’s gaining steam. The issue on hand is Adidas has all this inventory they can’t sell and in Europe you can’t just trash. So it’s just sitting. So the rumor is Kanye would sign just to get rid of existing inventory. It’s not a permanent comeback.
