**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Another report just came out saying the Nets would have wanted Rui as well but he couldn't be added to the trade.

Nets were never gonna trade Ky here.

Gotta hope the Dallas thing falls apart and he can get traded to us in the off season where picks will make some more sense, since the pick swap either will or won't happen.

Bron really didn't say anything crazy.

He was disappointed...so we're a lot of Laker fans.

He didn't have to answer the question at all.

He says I'm focused on the guys in the locker room all the time.

It's just bizarre.

Saw that one too.

So I just want to know how they were planning on making the salaries work….like did they want LA to take on the Ben Simmons contract too?

Popovich and the Spurs imo is the most realistic trade partner for the Lakers. Of Richardson, Poeltl, and McDermott, Pelinka would get back decent role players who all fill needs, but more importantly 2 expiring contracts which gives Rob all kinds of options and trade flexibility this summer.

Best case scenario, the combination of getting rid of the brick and adding impact role players makes the team exponentially better and they make a deep run in the playoffs.

Worst case scenario, the Lakers keep Brick and stink it up, but the Lakers get a lottery pick by missing the playoffs
