RIP to someone who was a Laker great on the court and a major driving force front office wise building those championship teams.
It’s a damn shame the Lakers organization was never able to patch things up with him. And they should’ve gone the extra mile to do so and swallowed their pride and made that one right however they needed to.

I remember reading something… maybe it was the Showtime book or West’s autobiography… but basically it was describing the end of West’s tenure w/ the Lakers and how he and Dr Buss were no longer on good terms. Not sure of the details, but also felt disrespected by Phil and basically forced out. Sucks but it happens, he’ll always be a Laker 4 Life in my book.

Like, it's not Jeanie's fault he died, and no one said that, suggested it, implied it, nothing.
