NBA's Overt Technical Fouls. Will it hurt the Game?

I wish I was lying. Heres the video. Ignore the homerism at the end where the guy really tries to say it was a charge. But other than that he maybe says damn or +%%! at the worst when he turns his head. But you can see the Tech comes before he is even helped off the floor and he doesnt do anything extra to "show up the ref"

Doesn't the NBA say this every year though, that they are going give more technicals for arguing? And yet they never do

However it looks like they are serious about it this year that sucks because in a competitive environment like the NBA emotions will run high and people will say stuff in the heat of the moment that they don't entirely mean, or disagree with the call and get T'd up for it. So you are taking the passion and emotion out of the game, which is no good.

I would like to see what David Stern does when Kobe, Lebron or any other star gets tossed out of the game for arguing because that would be the last thing he wants.

"technicals for looks"

Absurd.

Well see if these refs have the balls to eject one of the following: Bron, Bean, Wade, KD, Melo, or CP (who's notorious for totally destroying refs verbally). We'll see how much the fan is calling for this if/when one of these individuals are tossed for this nonsense

Definitely the general consensus that we all disagree with this outrageous rule. However, I'm interested to see if anyone actually does AGREE with it. More so interested in the argument as to why it may be good. I trully can't see the justification of this rule.
