NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

I could legit drink this instead of OJ with my breakfast eggs. That’s scary considering it’s 7.8% ABV.

you guys make me feel very spoiled.
all of my friends are soooooo into treehouse all of a sudden when I tried to introduce them into TH years ago, they wouldn’t budge to take a sip. Now, they’re buying cases of it every month or so. Good thing is, they just give me some of their cans hahaha

but damn I love OH so much. I’m still milking the 3 cases I got from my last trip there
What got them into it? Light bulb went off? For many, it's fruit smoothie beer without tasting like a traditionally hoppy and bitter IPA. Beer for the non beer drinker. Some people get into it because it’s basically Pokémon for adults. Hype, collecting, trading, IG sharing etc. Having what others want is inherently what makes us humans, or Americans.

With that said, I’m back. 139 days w/o beer and 30 plus pounds down. I’m out East and couldn’t say no to some fresh focal banger and heady. They may not have been the best choices to get back into things.

Bitterness to all new levels.
It’ll take a few days to get my taste buds back. I was buzzed/drunk after two. Tolerance will need to be brought back up.
Von trapp never gets their due. I always went for the heavy hitters but now I’m jumping back to some mainstays with flavor. Ever so subtle but it’s there.

Wally, it was def the hype for them. I think after they saw what these colorful cans people were drinking, it drew them in more. I guess I wasn’t persuasive enough initially

Buddy of mine brought me this orange creamsicle milkshake IPA from Tired Hands

Drove up to Cupertino to grab some huckleberry haze, a Lazy Dog x Golden Road collaboration.
They aren’t supposed to sell it, but ended up with 16 cans and 4 of the Almanac.

Still got a can of the orange creamsicle shake...probably the best shake I’ve had

Never got around to posting this pic from my first ever trip to the east coast. I came back a happy guy if you couldn't tell. Pro tip though - if your bag weighs 60 pounds you'll definitely have to pay a fee or chug 10 cans in the airport bathroom .

pro tip, check the limitations for checked baggage in advance

what you have to pay for the extra wait on checked bag?

also, zip lock everything individually

I assume you used bubble wrap as well...?

nice haul

We were just dumb. My buddy weighed his bag and was fine. They put it on the conveyor belt. I went next and I knew my bag was overweight and tried to ask if we could put some of the cans into my friend's bag but they said it was too late and because his bag was already down the conveyor belt. Just dumb planning on our part. It was a $50 fee. Lesson learned. Ziplocked a few cans into each bag and just wrapped them up in my clothes. No lock on my bag either. Everything was fine upon arrival. Just need to distribute weight evenly next time and if it's still too heavy then shipping them back isn't a bad idea.

Headed to San Fran this weekend. Hoping to hit a brewery in the surrounding area, any suggestions are appreciated

Headed to NYC for MLK Weekend. Gotta contain myself and not buy cans from Other Half I won't end up drinking. Every time I buy a 4-pack of something, I realize I don't want 4 cans of it nor do I want to drink Hazy IPAs regularly since it's so damn filling.

Been really liking Saisons and light sours lately. I'd buy and drink the **** out of SaisonHands from Tired Hands if they canned it.

I also tried DFH Super Eight and thought it was excellent. Perfect compliment to Seaquench which is my go to shelf beer

RAR Brewing doing a pop up at Cross St Market in Baltimore on Friday afternoon. Probably going to swing through. Beats driving an hour and a half to their brewery.
