Official: 2009 Fantasy Football Thread (Week 17)

WEEK 15

-Saints TE Jeremy Shockey is OUTvs. Cowboys (If u need help at WR3 or Flex, Robert Meachem should be a good pick up this week.)

-Cowboys LB Demarcus Ware is ACTIVEvs. Saints

-Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin is OUT vs.49ers (Kevin Curtis or Reggie Brown will fill his spot/Snow will not be a factor and game has been moved to 4:15 pm est instead of 1:00pm est)

-Seahawks RBs Justin Forsett and Julius Jones will use a "split-series" rotation vs. Buccs.
Spoiler [+]
Forsett is also replacing Nate Burleson (out, ankle) on punt returns. The new rotation means Forsett will dominate every other possession, even though Jones will start. It's an even committee now, and Forsett will get the goal-line carries if the Seahawks get in scoring position on his possessions. Forsett is a quality RB2 in PPR leagues. He's also a flex option in non-PPR. -rotoworld/espn.com

-Oh, unless you're DESPERATE... don't play Rams RB Stephen Jackson. Dude has back problems, is constantly seeing 8/9 in the box cuz of QB problems, andO-line problems.

They're gonna run him into the ground.

Agreed

ok one last time, this is for my smaller league, but the most choices in this one.
Pick 1
Favre vs Carolina
Rivers vs Cinci (Cincis pass defense is very good, and i'm playing against Rivers in my other league, so i'll be in a catch 22)

Pick 3
Moreno vs Oakland
DWill vs Minnesota
Ganther vs NYG
Thomas Jones vs ATL
Benson vs San Diego
Matt Forte vs BMore

Anyone think its worth playing Chris Jennings over D WIlliams in my other league? I like his matchup (KC) much better than williams

I would start Moreno, Jones and Benson. wouldn't even think of startin Forte. I got Williams and Jennings AND Harrison in one of my leagues, but Im startinDeangelo. You just dont know whos gonna get more of the load out of Harrison and Jennings...plus I heard J.Stewart has a hurt toe so HOPEFULLY Deangelo has anincreased workload

Finally Marion has a decent fantasy performance, hoping he gets another TD as I played him this week.

Thank God for Miles Austin. I hate da Cowboys but I wouldnt be mad if he caught like 2 more TDs lol. Maybe my greatest FA pick-up

Edit: Soooo happy Colston and Meachem aint score...and Hartley only got one FG. Im lookin real good in one of my leagues so far...but I am goin against ChrisJohnson...

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated:

I don't think any stadiums will be terribly effected...

Most of them will have cleared out the snow by game time, but the Jets/Falcons game will have some swirling winds in the Meadowlands.

NBC Sports' Andrea Kremer reports that an MRI revealed this week that Percy Harvin has two bulging discs in his neck.

Harvin is still expected to play on Sunday Night Football, but will visit a specialist at the Mayo Clinic early next week. Harvin has also been told that his migraines are genetic, and that they can be triggered by eating chocolate or spending too much time in the sun. He's been prescribed to treat the illness by getting as much sleep as possible and staying hydrated. Dec. 20 - 1:06 pm et
